When the communism fell, all the American and British and World Bank “experts” made a run to the former socialist countries arguing for a quick privatization of state assets. Notwithstanding that the laws were far from perfect from preventing exactly what you described.
In the Czech Republic all the assets got into the hands of former communist apparatchiks or secret police members. Like Andrej Babiš, the funny SLOVAK who just said in a commentary on muslim immigration that he believes “the Czech Republic should be for Czechs”.
Most assets that were not misappropriated were actually buyed for pennies by Western companies that immediately closed the factories they bought in order to lower possible new competition after the fall of iron curtain.
VW being one of good exceptions as regards Škoda (which was, on the other hand, extremely profitable to keep on running instead of closing down).

@TheDivineInfidel btw, Trump did not say he wanted to ban Islam or Muslims. He said he wanted to stop Muslim immigration till this whole shit show with Syria and ISIS has calmed down. I really don’t see the issue with this, they promised to exploit the immigration system, and we already had one terror attack from people who admired ISIS.
When Carter was was president he did not allow Iranians into the U.S during the hostage crisis, and during ww2 we did not allow German, Italian, or Japanese immigrants in. So i wouldn’t care if Muslim immigration was put on hold temporarily, he never suggested putting them in camps like great Democrat president FDR, and he never suggested banning Islam.

this is pretty standard in every city on the planet , areas with high crime the police tend to be more rigid and heavy handed and in areas where crime is low , they are much more relaxed .
thats not a Islamic issue , that issue is more of a council estate issue . where gang culture exists and police are seen as the enemy .
im part of a police group on facebook called "UK cop humour " which is filled with mostly police sharing funny stories from the job .
