I’m sorry, but that kinda thing pisses me off. Poland should get their own shit together to defend their land, not ask other countries to do this for them. Also how in the fuck can they pretty much black mail the U.K into doing this for them, why do they have any say in the level of immigration the U.K receives? The more i here about the EU the more ridiculous it sounds.
For having a history of warfare, being invaded, and occupied it seems most European countries don’t give a shit weather or not their military is strong. You would think past experiences would make them want a strong defense force, but i guess they just want the same thing to happen again.

Majority of states have background checks, mine included, he just wants to be an ass and give all the voters who voted against background checks for their states the middle finger.

The U.S is seeing a power clash, not seen since before the Civil war. The states say no, then the federal government gives Democracy the middle finger and the president throws everyones votes away with one magic pen stroke.
seems pointless to me . i agree with background checks but he has made a big song and dance and then proposed basically nothing .

Well there were some states, mainly in the South i bet who didn’t have background checks, because the people voted against them for their state. He literally just made their voice count for nothing. It’s just his way of telling the states who oppose him that he has power over them.

Poland had major involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, although they could have said “fuck you, take care of your shit yourself, America.”
This is the kind of thing that allies do for each other, the reason why NATO exists.
Also, Poland is currently bulding three new brigades that will be stationed and in 24/7 operational awareness as of the end of the year on its eastern border. Interestingly, google news only spits Russian propaganda page news article about it:

So they are doing their bit, they just need other boots on the ground so that war becomes impossible, not only impractical for the Ruskies.
EU is based on international treaties to which all countries signed up to. Among the basics are 4 EU freedoms - free movement of people, goods, services and money.
If UK doesn’t like what it has on its own signed up to, it has two options. Annul them or renegotiate them. If they want to renegotiate them, they must gain support of counterparties.
If UK doesn’t like free movement of people, it should not have signed up to it in the first place.
Most wars were fought among European nations, not external threat.
The problem is that now when internal threats seem to be non-existent, most EU countries forgot that external threats might emerge, a.k.a. Putin.
That was the case only when buying from licensed stores, not during private purchases.
