I found it interesting how non-specific he was about the diner he was going to; Very repetitive on the fact that it was a local diner just up the street, I wonder if any conspiracy theorists have researched to see if there’s any close enough to the school that would verify his claims.

Just checked on google maps there is a dinner almost across from sandy hook. Still is very odd how much he mentions it. Makes me laugh every time i watch these interviews.

Just for comparison. Here I’d say you need about two weekends to learn for the written test (free) and two hours course to train for the safe handling/shooting exam ($50). Then half-an-hour for medical inspection by general practitioner ($25). Then you need to sign up for the exam ($50), which is usually at least once a month. After passing, you request to have the license issued ($25) and the cops will have 30 days to do your background check - criminal, DUIs, etc; it is usually done in 2-3 weeks, probably in a couple of days if you are under particular threat. I’d say that you can have the papers in 2 months from the moment you decide (i.e. before you start learning), probably much faster if you are determined/are under threat. The license is valid for 10 years.
If you are on budget, you get an ex-police CZ 83 ($100; they are usually carried a lot, shot a little). A little bit heavier than moder polymer/aluminium alloy carry guns, but extremely reliable and very precise.
The only drawback for foreigners is that since about 2011 they can’t have an interpreter at the exam and must pass it all in Czech language on their own.
And since every law abiding citizen who wants to can get firearm for protection legally in quite a straightforward process, black market with guns is very limited in the country - unlike in Belgium, France or Denmark, where you can apparently easily get a full-auto at a train station but there is no way in hell authorities would allow you to have a pistol/SBR legally for self-defense.
100 bucks damn. I could get a 12 gauge for 100 bucks but a pistol that cheap is almost unheard of in America. Ammo is insanely expensive right now. Home land security bought over 500 million rounds of hollow point ammo and every time gun legislation is proposed people panic and stock pile guns and ammo which makes the prices soar.

I wish 18 was the age for concealed carry. I can own a rifle or shot gun at 18 but have to be 21 to own a fucking pistol and carry it which i think is retarded.
When i do finally get a pistol and can legally carry it i don’t think it will be a 9 mm. I think i would rather have something with a bigger round like a .45 maybe a 1911 because the gangs in the town near me really like meth and the police use modified Beretta that normally shoot 9mm but they modify them to shoot .45. Plus i have bear, cougar, coyote,elk, and boar in my state. I like the outdoors and hiking so it would be nice to have something that wouldn’t have much trouble taking out these animals.
The Czech police and military switched to CZ75s back in 2000something. I think it will take next 50 years before all the used and surplus CZ83s are out of the gun shops. They still probably have quite a nice profit margin. And it really is a gun you can bet your life on. even though the round may be considered underpowered by some.
I recommend you read FBI justification for choosing 9mm. The only way you immediately stop a threat is shot placed into the central nerve system in the area of neck or higher. In any area of body the .45 vs 9 mm does not make much of a difference, because 9 mm is much hotter round. Meanwhile you get extra capacity.
If there really is a chance of meeting an angry boar or elk, I’d recommend a .44 Magnum or .454 Casul.
Also, be sure to do enough research on particular 1911 manufacturer/model. It is a good gun for gun range, but most of them are not on par with modern guns when it comes to reliability. If you really decide for .45, I’d recommend looking also into CZ97, but it may be too large to carry for some.

Yeah pretty big chance. Especially during spring and early summer when all the bull elk and moose are extra agressive. My state has an overpopulation of elk. Its not uncommon to see hundreds of them walking though towns or sitting in a park.

um, no, we are not overpopulated with elk pal lol. They are about what you would expect but in no way overpopulated, the good winter weather is definitely going to help keep the numbers where they are so thats good.
Um yes we are lol. A state doesn’t consider reintroducing wolves unless there is a serious over population of elk or deer. Its ridiculous in the summer and spring in Estes park. There are freaking hundreds of the buggers roaming the town.
