We (pop 15 million, of that 2M pro-Nazi Germans) were facing imminent full scale invasion of combined forces of Germany (pop 68 million), Poland (pop 34 million) and Hungary (pop 10 million) and heavy diplomatic pressure from UK and France (which, interestingly, culminated only after we fully mobilized and it was clear that we are not going to surrender to Hitler alone). We surrendered after 7 days of covert war when it became clear that there is no feasible way of defending self against the three countries’ armies alongside the entire border.
UK was facing nothing. For UK, the whole situation was just a nuisance. Yet UK decided to join the Nazis in their cause - which tipped the balance as it led Poland and Hungary to become openly hostile too.
I think that the only time we surrendered tells more about UK than about my country. This is what it tells about your country in the words of your wartime Prime Minister:
“You were given the choice between war and dishonour. You chose dishonour and you will have war.”
But the fact is, you didn’t need to enter any war. You could have just sat silently and comfortably. Instead, your country was active Hitler supporter.
Please note the difference between the two pictures:
It is an interesting question what would have happened had United Kingdom not sided with Nazis and thus endorsed also open hostility of Poland and Hungary, as German attack plans were based on the notion that invasion would happen in situation when Czechoslovakia is not mobilized. Surely they would come up with a new invasion plan, after we mobilized, but we will never know.
As Churchil said, your country behaved dishonorably. Your conduct towards this time in history and towards the nation whom you’ve betrayed shows that dishonor runs pretty deep in your blood and that not much has changed since the 1930s.
Thus the large scale muslim immigration (and that has nothing to do with EU) may actually have a positive effect on your society, as honor is given immense value in muslim culture.
It is good that you have become minority in London. Maybe the culture of the new majority will have some positive effect also on yourself.
