see now you have worded in such a way that anyone would agree .thats its not right which isnt realistic of every situation , so it is something that has to be evaluated situation by situation hence why security services have a tough job , personally i think they got it wrong in boston

not if they took them by surprise and just started shooting .

Im pretty sure if they saw someone being held hostage in a house that gives them justification to go in. We are talking about the SWAT randomly entering peoples homes with no warrant and no evidence.
doesnt matter that up to the court to decide

They would have to either kick the door in or break a window that would give the people time to load their gun if they were half decent at it. Neither of the terrorists were armed in the boston bombing.

no i didnt , never said that i have said it a million times they got it wrong in boston
Oh right your fists. Uh oh theres two of them and one has a knife what are you going to do now watch as they enter your home waiting for the end?
knife , chair , golf club , ice axe i could go on , kill one and use his own gun on his mates , i can do what ever i feel justified to defend myself

No im almost positive that if police see somone being harmed in a house they can enter.

But you would be ok with a random home search then?

So instead of taking them out at a distance you get into a melee with them. Yeah you’re chances aren’t good.

you act as if you just sit their waiting for someone to kick your door down .

your family is in the living room all watching tv and some kicks in your back door and runs in with guns i dont think you would have any time at all , or no room clearance would ever go to plan would it

I keep my doors dead bolted even during the day so it would probably take more than one kick to get the door open.

And i’m sure my neihboorhs would find it strange to see someone going through my back gate with a gun and call the cops.

no never said that
how big are the rooms in your house !? wait by a door to a room and do damage when they walk in close range ,

haha what do you have steel doors !?

Nope just wood.

If i had my gun loaded and some what aimed i could take someone out in my house. Thats why i would like a pistol more convient for home defense than a rifle. Lets say a room is 10 ft by 10 ft and you waited for the intruder to come in your doorway. You already have the gun trained on where they will come from. I know a lot of people who keep a gun in easy reach for situations like this.

You said you could see why the police did it.

Anyway we’ve been talking about guns and corrupt government for 1600 posts. How about a new topic. How about a collapse of society? I personally think since you live in a big city would be most likely dead but i could escape to the mountains quickly. What do you think ? Do you think the lack of guns would put you at risk of bandits?

Well well well looks like old Adolf did escape to Argentina after all. :sunglasses:

easily kick that down with 2-3 good kicks . maybe even one on some of the shit ones .
yes i agree you’re better off with a gun in such a situation however its perfectly possible to defend your home with a blunt object plus in the UK the likely hood of the intruder actually have a real gun is very low so for me i have plenty to effectively defend myself , however its a different situation for you .
You said you could see why the police did it.
i said i could see point of both sides . meaning i could see why yes the police at the end of the day were doing what they felt was best to ensure your safety HOWEVER i could see why people were upset as the police were over the top in their response

Mine are quite heavy and thick. Im guessing 3 kicks. That would most likely give me time to grab a gun and by the time they kick the door down i could be upstairs with the gun loaded. And if i couldn’t load it in time i could always lock another door to give me more time. And if i couldn’t get my gun i have this

no because the bandits wouldnt have guns in the UK . where i live is nothing like you seem to imagine , unless you can afford a multimillion pound house you dont live in central london , you live in the suburbs . what you imagine as london is actually 30 minutes on the train for me which i have to do every morning .
so i can be in the center of london in 30 minutes by road or by train but i can also be in the country side in 15 minutes by road

exactly i have a few ice axes in my house which i could use and at the most realistically the attacker for me would have a knife
