Third time attempting this. As you can see I won the race which I’ve done every time. The first 2 races when going back to the start nothing happened. This time it said I won but failed? Confused!!

Hello, your quest log seems pretty messed up I must say 
“The first 2 races when going back to the start nothing happened.” I have to ask, did you use your own horse or the dappled grey back one? Because this is what happened to me, when I used my own one.
I used Zora’s dappled grey, and the log said I won the race, but Sir Divish said I lost so I need to go to Zora again, and I’m not able to finish the quest.
I’m really losing patience with this game, almost every other quest is bugged
Hello my problem is when i finish the race and go to talk to Zora. When she gives me the saddle the game crash. I try 4 times in a row but nothing changes…
I have this same - game crash after finishing the quest. PC version, Windows 10.

(Not that I didn’t need an excuse to take a break from this game.)
I won my race and even got the “You won” message. Even with the game teleporting two riders in front of me, I managed to pass on a tight corner and finish first. That was until Sir Fancy Pant told me I didn’t win and that he would buy half his horses from Zora.
I had this problem too (PC 1.4.1). This worked for me: I rode to Zora on my horse (not on her) and before talking to her, I removed the saddle from him. Then I talked to her, she gave me the new saddle and the game did nit crash.
It was just a wild guess (I was thinking that maybe there might be an issue if someone is giving me a saddle when I already have one or when my last horse can’t be equipped) but it luckilly worked

Thanks for the solution, it works! I think the key is to ride back to Zora on your own horse.
SOLUTION:
If Zora’s horse moves away to an area outside of Neuhof, the mission does not crassed and is completed. The key is Zora’s horse. Take him away from Neuhof Henry …
