Not an option. Can’t always walk around with a bow in my hand.
sure can! In fact, I really really really recommend it, because when you meet wild boar, you will be glad your weapon is ready lol
Good idea in forests
Bad idea in villages
My idea would be a timer. When the dot wasn’t needed for 60 seconds, it disappears, and reappears the next time you need it.
How should the game know you need it? Or don´t need it? How do you expect it to recognize that you are trying to pick something, and not just hovering over interactable items?
The dot could appear if you hover over an interactive object, that would be enough, so you know, ok this is an interactable object.
Congratulations, you have now invented constantly blinking yellow dot Not intrusive at all is it…
Yeah, you’re right, the option to turn it off/on is still the best immersive option IMHO
I wouldn’t want to turn it off completely, just to make it disappear when it isn’t needed.
Actually a lot of games have it like this. The moment you hover over a usable object you get some kind of visual signal. In this case the yellow dot could appear.
I would say: pussy, f*ck you, despite the possible ban! Nobody insults me!
Stupid nerd, what part of the term ‘hardcore’ you don’t understand?! Maybe you want Deliverance to have a 3d model of Dan Vavra walking you around by your hand?
I’m done with this forum whatsoever, such a time loss - my expectancies for the game are almost ruined, I waited several years more than what was thought, seeing it becomes more and more consolish and arcade, and more and more to the type of games I dislike. Maybe that’s why I almost don’t play games anymore, at all. Goodbye to everyone who deserves it!
finally =)
You know @Tsunamik your behavior and attitude towards critics isn’t really befitting of a moderator. I’ve been here since October of 2014 and all the mods since then have acted professionally, and haven’t insulted anyone directly like you constantly do.
There is a right and a wrong way of dealing with critics and you most certainly get it wrong.
It should just appear when you hover over an object. Then a timer starts. When you don’t hover over a usable object for more than 60 seconds it disappears.
I am not a moderator, that shield is there only for technical reasons as I am not affiliated with wh And I just can’t tolerate entitled little whiners anymore, thinking that world turns around them, when they don’t have any idea what they are talking about.
If you search my post history, I am most of the time trying to help and explain everything I can, but reading complaints from nonstop whiners is pointless and in fact quite toxic already.
Guys like him remind me of IGN reviewers when you forget to bribe them in advance:
“Stunning visuals, amazing combat, breathtaking story, best enviroment ever, but there is yellow dot on the screen, 6.5/10 IGN”
Would it be nice of lil yellow dot could disappear? Yeah maybe…
Does it have ANY priority during this phase of development? Nah…
Is it really important for anything? Nope, nope, nope…
To bring hiding yellow dot feature into the game, you would probably need atleast a designer to think about how it should work, programmer to prepare the function and scripter to implement it. And then atleast 1-2 QA testers to test and debug it. 1 month before release… That in conclusion would probably mean more bugged questlines, less optimalized performance, more texture popping, flicking, freezes and worse balance, all because somebody “DEMANDS” a blinking dot…
Not really, because I’m a big fan of warhorse studios and kingdom come deliverance. So I’m not deliberately trying to pick on the game.
I just think that the thing with the yellow dot could have been solved better, and if it’s still possible to solve it in a better way, why not try and do it?
I’ve got the impression that YOU are very negative and not constructive at all.
I think I just explained why. Game is getting ready for release, being polished, debugged, optimized, smoothed and balanced. Everybody is now probably working at 130%, because next few months will probably decide the fate of whole studio, so there could be a lot of pressure
there is not time to TRY some yellow dot experiments imo.
i think my last paragraph of that post was very constructive, there is not much to say about the topic imo. If there are mods, UI mods will probably be among the first to appear as they are the easiest. Lets wait for that
Apologies for vulgarities tho, somehow Jlyga_u_onacHa just boiled my steam… weird huh
Even if you’re not a mod, there’s really no reason to act like every criticism of this game is a personal attack on yourself.
This was a polite conversation till you chimed in calling everyone pussies. I’m not disappointed with how the game is turning out, but i don’t viciously attack people who voice their disappointment. People like @Jlyga_u_onacHa have been following the game for damn near four years, and they had a ton of hopes, and very high expectations for this game, along with most of the regular posters on here you and i included.
If i felt the same bitter disappointment in this game as they do, i would feel pretty terrible as well, you don’t need to be such a dick towards them, especially when they are usually are polite rule abiding members of this forum.
Yeah, i should have wrote “kitties”, thats for sure, but other than that I just had to point out the obvious. Don´t try to tell me that “I didn’t support it in Kickstarter to be disregarded and wait for modders to do what the devs were supposed to do.” isn´t yell of falsely entitled person.
I simply have a lot of respect for a devs of this game, that such pathetic pointless screams really tick my boxes. Looking at likes, I wasn´t alone.
Other then that - I am not attacking criticism of the game, as constructive criticism is definitely needed for improvement. My post was directed toward specific individual, definitely not Flarius or others who just voiced their concerns (which I fully understand - and tried to explain why their concerns probably won´t be addressed into release).
