Thievery and Ladies

I’d like to see a couple of things:

  1. Ladies. Even though they were perhaps not as much to be seen as Knights Templar, they did exist and did interact and inform events. Even in the middle ages. Examples: Jeanne d’Arc, the alleged female Pope in the 11th century, thieves no doubt by the gallows-full… they deserve more prominence than a simple prequel.

  2. Thievery. I hope things are as open and accessible to thieves as certain other games have made it in the past, such as the early Elder Scrolls games, and elements of the Thief series as well as Deus Ex.

Thievery and stealth in general is something I very much hope is well made.

I find it funny you mention the Elder Scroll-games, as the stealth and stealing is quite simple in them.
Now classic Thief on the other hand, brilliant. The thing is that Thief takes place in a fantasy world and some of the things that were possible/worked in said game series might not work as well in Kingdom Come.

Yet I hope that the makers will implement a proper system for both stealing and stealth.

absolutely. But which games would you feel do a better job wrt thievery? The Elder Scrolls (early games, Daggerfall in particular) left things in buildings. Perhaps along the lines of NPCs actually interacting with their own possessions and leaving them in rooms at night, where they do not exist during the day, etc.

Stealth has a ton more excellent examples: Splinter Cell, MGS, Thief… but their great failings all seem to come in AI…

As far as I know thievery has been a very hard crime someone could do in the middle ages. In some cases they would have to get killed by their liege or at least their hands cut off. Thievery should be in the game but it should be incredibly hard doing so because everyone is looking over his or her few things. Also I think a little blacksmith isn’t very dexterious or good looking to be very good at stealing at all

Ladies… well… I can’t imagine any countrie which hadn’t any Ladies because without them the whole system wouldn’t have worked out quite well  and maybe you will see them from hundred feet away because the guards wouldn’t let someone so unimportant und poor as the player character near them in the most cases because their husbands would kill you instantly if you are raising your head and seeing to long into their direction.

Bad decisions in the game should be result in unforgiving consequences. And for people who want to steal everyone without getting caught and risking their lives there will be mods I guess.

From the sound of the stretch goal for the playable female character it sounded like there would be some important characters who are female, (at least one). and i would enjoy seeing thieving and such crimes to have consequences if its sloppily done

Crime:
the kickstarter movie shows the character stealing… so clearly it will be in the game.

I had done a search; apologies. It did not come up in the string. I shall look at that. Thank you.

As to crime/stealing. I’m not hoping it’s “in the game” as I know it’s in the game. I hope that it’s done holistically and that includes the ways in which NPCs react directly and indirectly to thievery.
