why not start this thread… might already be one didnt look lol… ive heard a Skeleton key in a chat with people bitching about the system which i dont think there is anything wrong with but i wouldnt mind a unbreakable lock, also the ability to try to force break the lock but makes extra noise or something…
A cancel for fast travel, also maybe a option to have fast travel move quicker at the expense of energy…
A SLEEPING BAG, or a BED ROLL would be more realistic for the time… This will A) solve the save issue everyone seems to complain about, although i make money so i just buy up Savior Schnapps make sure i always have at min 10 of them. and B) i hate being places even some towns with no beds for you to rent… most you have to trespass to sleep in… not all but still a bed roll that will have weight so its not like its a bullshit item…
I saw alot of stuff before the release of Tournaments but all i have seen so far is Archery… Hopefully i just havent got to it yet but if there isnt there for sure should be Sword Tournaments… in fact even if there is one in the story or something later on thats not enough… there for sure should be tournaments being held that bounce from town to town… from jousting to Sword to archery… either just compete one or sign up for a larger tourney where you compete in all 3 and if you win all of them you get a special prize or something…
Crossbows… The crossbow was invented in the 4th or 5th century… there is no reason they shouldnt be in the game… have a longer shot with better accuracy, way less arch on the shot…
The ability to forge more swords… so far only one ive seen is the Queen sword quest which was dope but you can screw it up if your not careful… ive seen a couple special named swords was kinda hoping for a few more tho…
I kno you can technically buy the room at the inn, but you should be able to purchase a house and marry, have a child… i kno its WAY to late for this one to do this but it just a thought for if we ever get a Kingdom Come 2… Own land even, maybe even a castle and have to fill your town with people… find a blacksmith etc…
Honestly i kno it might sound crazy but the perfect game would be like a mix between Kingdom come, Mount and Blade, and Sims games (as far as creating a family, using the bathroom!, we already have eating showering or baths excuse me) but purchasing land and house, being able to enter a mode to place furniture, thats another merchant to add, carpenters for house stuff…
NPC companions… Be able to get a Band of people together to help you on your adventures. How dope would that be, they interact in story dialogue depending who you have, maybe some characters dont get along as well as others depending on point of view and if your an evil fuck or honorable… Im telling you if i knew how to actually make games i could make something amazing but thats why i never try to talk shit about games and just give opinion and bugs i find to help out… what these guys and girls do is truly amazing and im thankful for it… creating games for us all to enjoy and spend hundreds of hours of our time in… truly awesome!!! im sure ill think of more and add to this thread but if anyone else has any ideas feel free to share… not sure if the Devs ever even get on to look at all these but hey you never kno… im sure some of them actually play the game and get curious so they jump on here to check shit out… thats my hope when typing these out someone sees it and we later down the road see some of our ideas put into their games…
Henry gets his own house if he becomes the master huntsman of Talmberg
…1. Rebuilding Skalitz.
…2. Building.
…3. Having a place to call your own.
…4. An option to help the Skalitz people in Rattay.
…5. More Armor and Weapons from around that time , 1. Crusader gear.
…6. Female character , ie , Joan of Arc.
didnt kno that thanks for that info… not exactly what i mean tho, more like how fable was where you could purchase shops, houses, etc.
one complaint i do have however and cant wait till they fix is the game freezing up… happens all the time and thats why i try to save anytime i fast travel… sucks tho i just wiped out a camp, got a bunch of shit then FREEZE with the boot… lol… oh well shit happens
Go to Nexus mods and get the file that lets you save any time you like.
More interactive AI simulation layers and interlinked mechanics. Enemy AI ‘self improvement’ i.e. certain AI units on the map would be discreet entities with specific ID’s that progress in terms of skill and equipment just like henry. Also, we need lances. WE NEED EXPANDED MOUNTED COMBAT. No medieval game is complete without it.
Weapon-specific quest lines. The game focuses heavily on sword fighting, everything else is a bit of an afterthought. I’d love to see quest lines for each weapon typed where the narrative is closely linked to the mechanics of that particular weapon i.e.
For polearms, a town guard quest line where you have various realistic patrol missions in and around different cities (could be randomly generated for endless gameplay) and conduct investigations into crimes… Like the witcher 3, only using your brain instead of pressing a button to do all of the work for you.
For axes - maybe some kind of barbarian/pagan faction/bandit faction quest line. You can join a group of bandits and do what they do best. hang around camps and fend off attacks, conduct raids on (non-essential) locations on maps, pillaging etc.
For lances and maces - some kind of knightly quest line, lots of strong opponents in good plate armour, jousting tournaments, high politics and toffery.
For archery - maybe two different quest lines - a hunter quest line (will be easier once we have bears and wolves in the game) and a combat archer quest line. Hunter would be tied in to stealth mechanics and the combat archer quests would see the player in a supporting role as an archer, with a unit of other archers. Instead of having henry act as some kind of spec ops super soldier archer as he currently does.
Expanded non-combat mechanics -
Fishing - one of the best things about this game is the beautiful environment. I’d like to see more content (like the hunting) that takes advantage of the game world and allows us to enjoy it’s beauty in a non-combat setting. Fishing in games is almost always fun for some reason, makes a nice break from rushing around to different points on the map.
All bodies of water in the game would have a ‘heatmap’ for different fish types in different locations. Existing food could be used as ‘bait’ instead of being consumed by the player, so you would have to decide between using it for now or risking it to catch a fish. it would naturally expand on the survival mechanics of the game. There could be fishing competitions (again, randomly generated for repeat gameplay) with cash and improved rods as prizes.
Trade , crafting and retail - now I’m not so keen on the idea of building in this game, it just seems too complicated to implement given the engine, complexity of the terrain (lack of unrealistic flat surfaces, just as it should be) etc. But I love the idea of being able to occupy an existing building (they could add one in each town for this purpose) for Henry to set up some kind of business. How cool would it be if we could have Henry roleplay one of the other existing roles in the game? He could buy one of those buildings, and turn it into either a blacksmith/bakery/inn/tavern/tailors/herbalism shop etc and (we would need expanded crafting mechanics for this) he would have to gather/buy resources, craft, and then sell those items for a profit to visiting AI customers. Speech, charisma and haggling skill would come into play here. I think the idea speaks for itself really, lots of potential there. Also quite easy to implement compared to other DLC ideas as it uses existing game assets.
you take the game as skyrim. In our history there were no pagans in 1403 and Henry isnt in position to participate some tournament. They could do some story mode where you can do all of these things, but KCD is about realistic history.
I agree witch your ideas about archery and non combat mechanics tough.
i want roam around the map and do all unfinished and not started side-quests and play my own game after i finished the mainquest, right now, u have to go back to a older save or restart to explore other places or making quests u not took time for
wait really i didnt know that i only heard you can become a monk aswell what else can you become???
like a profession or a job can you officially become a knight or something?? i mean i know people will think your a knight if you have a shiny armor
officialy no… in Bohemia only king can make someone knight and unfortunately king Wenceslav is held in Wien by his Brother Sigismund
i play Xbox and thats not the point… shouldnt have to do that
how is he not in position for a tourny? maybe not a full blown one until hes Knighted but believe me there were TONS of sword skirmish contests he couldve found himself in…
and thats not true its not ONLY a king that can Knight someone
You can be Knighted by a KING, A Lord of a Castle or Keep, Another Knight
I’m only missing the option of saving different gear loadouts. I have to dress up for serious fight, dress up for stealth missions, derss up elegantly in town, etc.
So gear loadouts would be a life easer addon.
idk how it was in other countries… but in Bohemia you could be oficially knighted only by ruler of country. Atleast as the professor of history on Charles Univerzity in Prague teached me.
And ofc he could participate in some contest but proper tourney could be participated only by noblemens… and not the bastards.
Can you please tell us more about that? Where is the house? Is it big? Do you live alone in there or other annoying NPC’s are there?
Own house and land? What about adding an ability to become the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire? In Oblivion you could be a God. So Emperor shouldn’t be problem.
Posibility to buy property or flat in a castle…
To give o loan, or visit bank…
To engage servant or escort…
