This really triggered my OCD

What do you guys think? Especially the whole armor/clothing part. Really bothers me everytime I play now :disappointed_relieved:

Interesting criticisms. I’m sure some of this was due to gameplay constraints (dresses not covering the feet for example, without cloth physics that would look really weird). A lot was probably, as he says in the video, looking at reenactors rather than historical manuscripts.

Not having any substantial amount of knowledge on the subject myself I can’t say one way or another. I do want to point out however that Warhorse has a full-time historian on staff, wheras this youtuber is more of an amateur. Everybody makes mistakes, of course, but I hesitate to take everything in this video as fact without doing further research myself.

Haha. That was well done and 100% spot on with all the frustrations I’ve been experiencing in game play to date. He’s far more generous and gracious than me however.

I’m amazed it took you so long to cotton on to all of what he said in that video though. Seriously, the whole unarmed-NPC-denting-Henry’s-chain-mail-with-a-single-punch is nothing new. I just dismissed it as another instance of the dire performance overhaul the game mechanics needs. Like the one shot/stab/slash to kill NPCs combat imbalance issue. Like the insane degree of continuing pop out. From NPC peasant head gear to entire NPC heads non existent. Apparating & Disapparating clothing–particularly where hose is concerned.

Enemy AI seems to suffer increasingly from amnesia as Henry levels up in combat skill.
Example: Henry stopped FT to investigate a roadside hold up. Arrives just in time to witness aftermath of a scuffle on the road. Three Cumans had won and tied up 2 bandits. Two Cumans were already running into the woods, presumably back to their base camp. Henry killed the other one (on foot since it was IMPOSSIBLE TO RIDE DOWN & KILL THE NPC WITH HIS WAR HORSE). Then he untied both bandits. Neither said a word to him once freed. So Henry went about trying to loot the Cuman bodies on the road. Just as he was doing that, the closest bandit turned hostile and went postal on him. For looting a CUMAN corpse??? OK. Exactly 2 sword strikes later, Henry proceeded to loot this bandit corpse. While his buddy stood by watching the whole thing go down. Never tried to intervene or say a word during the whole incident. Left him there by the side of the road. So much for realism and immersion.

If the bug issues aren’t resolved or at least addressed by summer, the game will be collecting dust on a shelf

Pretty sure this is where you should be complaining

True…the rule of armor is to protect you… peasant clothed fighter vs fully armored fighter should be a no contest really…
