Thoroughly Impressed

I just wanna go out on a limb here and speak for everyone that’s enjoying their experience. I’m currently only at about 10 hours in, and I know there’s the occasional bugs, and minor performance issues (For me I haven’t experienced any though on my RX 470. 70 fps in open areas and 40-60 fps in really dense castles and towns. Settings: High, Resolution: 1080p), however I just wanted to say that you guys still have made a phenomenal game. Maybe the immediate release reaction wasn’t what you expected due to some hiccups that have been encountered, and in my opinion the save system seems a bit over the top, but nonetheless, I’m thoroughly enjoying my journey as Henry.

The truth of the matter is that you guys began as a kickstarter company and have made a fucking gorgeous looking game, with a solidly intuitive combat system, and an amazing story thus far. I want you all to understand that the criticism is not because we’re disappointed in you as a company. I’m sure even you didn’t expect to make it this far, and that we all have been amazingly impressed with this game. If you guys keep up the love and effort and bring it up to a perfect release standard with future patches you better believe your steam reviews will go up. Honestly. We’re all impressed with you guys and just want you to keep up the hard work.

Great job guys!

Same here. I am immersing myself deeply in the game, and love it so far. There’s a lot of historical information provided as well in the codex which adds value as well. love the ‘lore’ of the real world here.

I’ve stumbled across some glitches with the AI, but since the gameplay and RPG elements are so immersive, I don’t mind going back a save and try again.

I’ve only scratched the surface in terms sword fighting, but overall KCD is a great, deeply satisfying RPG experience for me.

Thank you for that!

Congratulations to the development team for a great game. I confess I got a save game mod because I needed a way to save and quit the game whenever I want, but otherwise stellar game. Loving it! I hope you sell lots of copies and I will spread the good word in the community. Thank you!

As did I haha. Don’t feel bad. xP

I’ve been lucky enough to not have much else going on this past day and a half so basically spent the entire time playing KCD. I love it. Its so immersive and a lot of fun. Really digging the combat and the realism. I love the dificulty too, makes everything seem worthwhile, a challenge to overcome. I’m also having a ton of fun with the characters and story. Well done, warhorse, you made an incredible game.

Not everything is perfect for sure. While I do love the look of the game and in my opinion its beautiful, some textures (but not all, mostly road ground textures) are really blurry, there’s some LOD issues where building textures are really blurry and then jarringly pop to higher res ones. I’ve also had a few “game breaking” bugs (crashes, infinite loading screens), but thankfully nothing that I couldn’t get past or lost me much time, and a bunch of glitches (horse moving onto a fence and then getting stuck in the stable roof for example), but for the most part, its working fine. Haven’t seen a single glitch in hours now

But the positives far far outweigh the negatives for me.
