To the Developers

Just signed in for the first time in a long time because i saw so many complainers. The game is fantastic and i’ve yet to encounter any bugs, there probably are bugs but even so. Its beautiful and immersive and fun.

Anyways thats all i had to say.

Thankyou to all the developers.

This is my experience to…

no bugs, no crashes. game runs perfect on my xb1x!

Really enjoying it. the story is awesome.

Same here. I can even get behind the save system as an artistic choice, it makes you play the game in a different way. I just wish they also had save on quit like they said before release.

i dont get why everyone finds the save thing so frustrating, you can save at any point as long as you have the schnapps… game saves when you sleep and also auto saves at points in quests, ive had no issues.

+1 from me. I hit only one minor bug (cannot surrender in combat), and I got used to the save system - you just have to plan where you are going to spend your night, just as in normal life  All thumbs up! The game is simply awesome!

Sometimes you just need to go. My kid might need me, maybe I’m in the middle of something and have to go right away, whatever. Like I said, I don’t mind it in general since it adds to how you approach the game, I just think it should also save when you quit.

I want to say the same thing:

Story so far is awesome and I got my packaged game DAY 1 .

THANK YOU

Just use a saviour schnapps before you go… simples.

I’ve had a few crashes and some of the textures are blurry, but overall I’m loving this game. The dificulty is not a problem for me at all (in fact, I’d have it no other way, given the choice, that’s why I fell in love with the Gothic series back in the day and with the souls games), the freedom of choice is great and the story and dialogue with NPC’s so far is keeping me engaged. Yes, there’s some things that need fixing and some things that could be improved and yes I lost some time over the save system (mainly during the prologue horse chase, I didn’t want to use my very limited Schnapps and I died like twice right before my destination having to redo that entire section, and I got stuck in the stream because the horse went over the bridge once…) but that was a minor hiccup in an otherwise great experience. The most frustrating bug was an infinite loading screen after loading a particular save, every time. I had to redo that bit, but ultimately didn’t lose more than 10 minutes or so, so no biggy.

Loving the game!

(A “save and quit” option with a single slot that it overwrites would be great though)

And if I don’t have one, **** me, right?

I don’t mind the game being hard, in the game, but no quit on exit messes with real life, not gameplay. It’s a very simple thing, that they did say before release we would have. It’s not unreasonable.

Well yeah, that is just poor planning on your part…

It’s not like you can’t pause the game though.

I have the same experience so far as the OP, couple of bugs, hillarious mostly, all minor. Frame rates do range from about 45 to 105, but still playable, mind you that’s at very high settings + 1080p on an i7 skylake, 1080ti and with 16 gb dd4, so there’s clearly room for further optimisation, which is in the works according to the devs.

Either way, minor technical and optimisation issues aside, I love the game, story is cool, codex is fascinating, gameplay is really enjoyable. The game will only get better as the devs put more work in.

Things I would like to see would be a weapon/armour crafting system to match the complexity of the really deep and enjoyable alchemy system, and perhaps a deeper first aid system.

The depth and complexity of things like combat, weapon maintenence, literacy and alchemy is phenominal, I would love to see more depth in some of the other systems in the game.

A wildly ambitious project, well delivered, teething issues notwithstanding, well done Warhorse
