5.7Gb sounds like at least a mildly interesting size…
This one should prove interesting as most bugbears are sorted so this should be the output of a happier team (and isnt just a reactionary change to rush happiness for the unhappy)
My guess is a little polish will come with this one

Was it a Steam related update on their system?
GOG has nothing.
I had a 120MB steam (client) download… (but I rarely go online with my PC/steam)

Started Steam but no updates.
The size sounds like the HD-Texture pack. I’ve downloaded it yesterday the first time and it has the same size, 5,7 GB

kk, hm maybe something went wrong in your last game session 
Steam is sometimes very strange. I downloaded KCD with my dad’s internet connection (very fast), but if I check the integrity of the files, it says every time that some files are corrupted.
And then I check again and have a corrupted file again. Steam is very bad in data transfers
Hmm, I thought this DLC was available from before? Why would it only be downloading it now? Iv’e already purchased this DLC, I think perhaps, close to 2-3 weeks ago…
Whilst I do not represent steam or their crappy frontend (I did love when Valve made games)…
I had a lot of trouble with the DLCs - as did a few of my friends; selecting them and making them download wasnt a given… (selecting them, yes; them downloading- not so much.)
I found over four attempts of triying to force them to come down did I finally get them all. (I ended up with sounds a week before music which was a few days before textures (for me))
Also if I did a game backup- the dlcs would strip from the product and require in part to be redownloaded.
It could be anything. There is a chance you are yet to see the HD texture pack- so ‘bonus’.
No matter- what matters is you have them now!
