So instead of killing him i took him to the balif, but for some reason i still have the moniestary quest showing up for pray, eat with the monks , etc. How do i get rid of them with out doing them?
go back in your normal gear and wander around until you get thrown out of the order and the monastery. Providing there is a open/pick able door.

I left the door open, we escaped through.
So went back in full gear to one of the monks. Was thrown out because of wearing a weapon.
So after not playing for a bit, and after an update, the quest naturally ended itself.
