Train hard fight easy immpossible to find bailiff!

After fighting the lordling I’m supposed to meed the bailiff. It’s near impossible to find out where he’s supposed to be, but from others I’ve gathered that he’s supposed to be behind a - LOCKED! - door up some stairs on the basck side of the horseshoe-like building complex between the armor smith and the tailor and possibly other stores.

So I wait. And I wait. I’ve tried advancing the time to every available time the next 24 hours, and I’ve tried advancing one hour at a time. The bailiff NEVER appears.

This is a 100% game-breaking bug! How on earth is it possible to have so poor QA that you manage to release a game with a Type A bug like this?!

Where do I get my money back? This game simply doesn’t work!

Had the same problem on PS4 i ended up loading an old save twice and do everything over again, finally he showed up. The entire quest is bugged at that point

Haha im at the exact same spot so confuesd on what to do. Myt just wait till the update is released

I tried a suggestion from another forum to wait until 7am before trying the door. It so happened one of the blacksmiths was going in just before 7am and I followed him through. Be careful at that hour because I got to the bailiff room and completed mission, but when he left the room and I didn’t follow, I got locked in his bedroom lol

I got lock-in in also. Was quite frustrating haha

No it isn’t. The one door is locked because it’s supposed to be. Instead of going up the stairs along the wall, enter the door that leads to the Scribe’s area. Go up both flights of stairs, and enter the door that leads to a hallway-like area. Going through the second door will put you in a private area for all of a split second, but you can pass through it straight to the Bailiff. Just takes a little looking around.

Both the door at the top of the outside stairs and the door that leads to the Scribe’s Stairs cases are both locked for me no matter what time of day I try

I had an issue with a locked door on a different quest. What fixed it for me was saving and loading, then the lock just disappeared.
