Troll cave II

your military budget is too large , it could be cut easily without effecting your military in the slightest . most of it going on bureaucracy and lining peoples pocket . too much of your budget goes to people in suits rather than the front line .

for example you spent in 2011 97 billion on "procurement " which to put in short is admin fees for the military pricing and buying goods .

although what i do notice is you include military intelligence in your defence budget this is something the UK does not do in fact i dont think we publish at all how much we spend on intelligence

It’s really not, that’s just a myth that has been circulating for years to try and justify cutting it for welfare, and other social programs that already get far too much money and are harmful. The U.S barely spends over the 2% requirement for NATO.
Plenty of countries who spend a higher percentage of their budget on military than the U.S.

Believe it or not we actually only spend a fraction of what we used to even 20-30 years ago, and the Navy is now saying they’re underfunded and don’t have enough ships to do the job they’ve been given, our nuclear arsenal is out of date, ect. We used to enjoy a huge advantage over our enemies in tech, and that now is slipping away.

Even if you were to cut the entire military budget all 600 billion of it, you wouldn’t have enough to even pay for Obama care for 1 year, so the idea that cutting the “Huge” military budget will allow us to have “Free health care” and “Free collage” is total bullshit.

Basically our idiot politicians need to realize that they we won’t be able to keep our number 1 super power status if they keep cutting the budget.

your not reading what im saying .

its how you spend your budget is the issue . you waste alot of the budget on politics and crap that yes indeed could be diverted to other departments or simply spent better in defence .

You never suggested to have it diverted to other areas of the military where it is needed, you just flat out said cut it. If what you say is true then i agree, we shouldn’t be spending that much on “politics and crap”, and divert those funds to things that matter.

But you’re flat out wrong in saying cutting wouldn’t our affect our military at all, the budget has been in a steady decline the past 8 years, and we are losing that tech edge we used to have over for example Russia, and China. Not to mention our navy is not big enough according to the admirals to accomplish the job they’ve been given, and our nuclear arsenal is very outdated.

At this point the U.S dosen’t spend much more of its GDP on its military than Poland does, which is honestly quite pathetic, especially if you compare it to how much we used to spend. What could save us money is our allies getting their shit together and being able to defend themselves. :wink:

@SirWarriant
The Gothic Armada is really great, but i really suck at it though, when the missions started to be a bit challenging i started to lose them. I really parecieate working save/load :smiley:

So they’re replacing Andrew Jackson (was a general and U.S president) on the 20 $ bill, with Harriet Tubman an escaped slave, who helped free some slaves during the Civil war.

This comments are just fucking gold. :smile: :smile: :smile:

Yeah it definitely doesn’t hold your hand.

@TheDivineInfidel

Somebody paid a professional agency to poster Lee Rigby (et al) all over the Czech Republic.

“MURDERED IN THE NAME OF ALLAH”

it would not effect your military capabilities because you would simply trim out the money spent on crap . divert some back into the front line and some into other services .

western armed forces are way to top heavy and are becoming more and more political full of civil servants . fuck them off and correctly fund research and front line kit and you could in fact increase your military capabilities and cut the cost .

simply throwing chunks at money at issues does not solve them . its about EFFECTIVE spending .

The comment section below the article scares me…

@snejdarek @TheDivineInfidel

I’m confused as to why the VZ.58 isn’t in this video.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)”

Simply cutting it would effect it. Diverting funds would not, I’m not disagreeing with you on that. My main point was that it’s hugely over exaggerated how much we spend on our military, you have leftist politicians like that jackass Bernie sanders lying and saying if we cut the military budget we’ll be able to afford “Free healthcare” and “Free collage”. The reality is even if you cut the entire military budget you couldn’t even cover the costs of Welfare for a year.

The VZ.58 is not even a Warriant of the AK47 :smiley:

Is this intentional?

No… just a super coincidence typo… :innocent:

no chance . the NHS budget in the UK is about ÂŁ120 billion and thats for 60 million people . keep it simple , you would have to at least times that by 10 to cover the US .

you do pay stupid amounts for college but to make it free would cost way too much .

completely depends on where exactly you cut , cut it and reform it to reduce paper work , legal process , tendering processes . and you could save money and your capabilities wouldnt take a hit .

the same as simply increasing the budget is not going to give you a better military .

Are agreeing or disagreeing with me? 120 billion times ten would be about 1.2 trillion dollars, so i repeat cutting the military wouldn’t help us pay for any of the fantasy social program lefties are suggesting. Also i hear enough horror stories coming out of the U.K with your healthcare system, and ive heard plenty out of Canada’s.

If my life is on the line I’d definitely want to go the private sector for treatment. Privatized health care has worked for this country since its founding, people are just buying into the lie that it’s impossible to get unless you’re a multi millionaire.

A few convincing arguments ive heard concerning that is, 1 we have way too many people going to collage, and we have way too many worthless degrees and classes out there, all of which drives up the cost.

And do what with that cut money? Even if you were to cut the entire budget, it wouldn’t even make a dent in other areas there simply isn’t a point to it.

agreeing …

Ah well, i figured there was a 50/50 chance you were disagreeing with me, so i typed an essay just in case. :smile:
