Finished the 1st book a few weeks back, and i agree itâs really good, the books do a good job really showing how powerful space marines are. Kinda ruins it that i know whatâs going to happen though.
In some states itâs against the law for the electors to go against what the people of their state voted, (although the consequences are not very severe). The idea behind this is to stop the people from say, voting in someone like Hillary Clinton who vowed to shoot down another nuclear powers aircraft. Although in my opinion all electors should have to vote for what their state voted for.
99% of electors throughout our nations history have remained faithful though, electors going rouge has never influenced an election. Had they gone against the peoples vote, i believe they then take it to Congress to decide, and since Congress is majority Republican, Trump probably would still be president. And if they didnât give it to him, then i would imagine a civil war would have taken place, who knows.
The electoral collage was set up to balance out the urban votes, and the rural votes, and to ensure smaller states would be represented.
Wrong. The electors represent their state. So if the electors from say Texas voted against Trump (he won that state) they would be going against the will of the people who they are representing.
People forget the U.S is 50 states, that have enormously different values and views. A pure popular vote would mean California and New York pretty much deciding what they think is best for the entire nation, which would probably lead to states seccedding and civil war, which is why the Electoral collage was implemented.
The âpopular voteâ is irrelevant. To become president you have to win multiple popular votes, and Trump won more than her.

Yeah, I take concrete barriers as pretty standard. Some places have fire department water tenders in entry points instead. So do you have SMG armed police even in small towns too or are you talking about London?
