And it’s even worse now. All ministers of ANO except for Slechtova expressed opposition to the proposal, some of them really strong. BIS and Constitutional Court are also against it. Fucking BIS is even spewing some bullshit about danger of ilegal militia units. Especially the retarded arguments of BIS will be used to totally hammer the proposal by the media… I can already see the headlines “BIS warns: the constitutional amendment will help fascist militias” If Babis supported it, there would be a tiny (really tiny) chance of it being aproved, but since he oposes it too, the chance is exactly 0%.

Well I am a bit surprised by how fast it the opposition mounted against the proposal. The only hope is that Chovanec wants to make it into election issue.

I had a bried conversation with the author of the Government Office reply to the proposal. Apparently he is convinced that taking together already existing case law and other parts of constitution, the proposal would in effect be as strong as 2A in US (or even stronger given how some states treat 2A) and eventually in repeal of current firearms legislation.
Anyway, in his spewing shit, he made a mistake of pointing out that this is actually a way to get firearms out of the directive’s reach.

A i kdyby nektere pripominky byly skutecne pouze technickeho, odborneho razu z iniciativy uredniku jednotlivych ministerstev, zadny ministr by nedovolil aby jeho ministerstvo navrh torpedovalo zasadnimi pripominkami v pripade, ze by byla politicka vule zakon prosadit. To znamena, ze bud jde o politicky odpor nebo nezajem, v kazdem pripade to znamena jedno - zakon nikdy nebude schvalen vladou. A navrh zmeny ustavy, ktery nema podporu vlady nikdy neprojde parlamentem.

A cop got stabbed here two weeks ago while responding to a home disturbance. The guy had a baseball bat and the two cops decided to take him down without shooting. Well, they didn’t know he has also a knife.

As someone who did martial art for more then a decade, I hate this bullshit like this. Disarming knife is extremely risky even for an expert, unless the attacker is absolute idiot.

Which martial arts did you practice?
Karate (shotokan) for seven years, then Bujinkan for two and lastly Ringen also about two years. But I eventually found, that I§m too lazy to bear all the pain and work.
I signed up for Krav Maga and then, after 2 initial lessons, busted my knee at the shooting range. I’ll have to stay out of the course this semester too as the knee is far from good.
It seems I am destined to concealed carry.

BTW the best part was when I did mag dump with my CZ 75 Stainless and all the guys though that I have full auto and actually came to inspect the gun
