I don’t think all that is really needed it’s quite simple the UK will be an independent state seeking to agree a free trade deal with the EU end of story .

NASA put the first men on the moon, and their calculations are all internally metric and have been from the very early days of von Braun et al.
The instrumentation displayed imperial to the crew, but metric was used for everything except human interface.
When contractors don’t realise this… then you get Mars probes that deploy as a new crater.

That trade agreement would automatically carry over with us as well once we left however it’s highly likely we would tweak it
