Like ive been telling you. North Korea’s military is rubbish.

Maybe, but their tolerance for high military & civilian losses is on a totally different level.

Also, they don’t have the capital within the shooting distance of the border.

Vid covered that. Very few of their artillery pieces are precise, or long range enough to blanket Seoul. And to be in range of Seoul they would have to put them in a very small section of their border that extends inward and is surrounded by South Korean land.

Would make them easy targets for airstrikes, and South Korean artillery.

True but, their aircraft and tanks are so far behind South Korea’s that high losses would mean South Korean air superiority quickly, and they cannot win a war with troops only once their tanks are burning heaps of metal.

sorry ive been very busy the last few days.

If this was true we would have taken them out years ago.
Sadly the truth is 64,000 would be dead within 3 hours .

NK arty units are dug in and well within range of soul , we dont know where they all are so they would have to be tracked , targeted and eliminated one by one .

im of the belief war is the only solution in dealing with them i just dont think many in the west have the appetite for a war where hundreds of thousands on both sides will be killed .

North koreas army on the whole is a load of shit no disputing that , but dont underestimate them either if it was as simple as you suggest we would have done it . in the words of mad dog matis

If this goes to a military solution, it’s going to be tragic on an unbelievable scale.”

after today i have new found respect for german engineering, some tit reversed into the front of my M4 today while in traffic. i could have cried . got out walked round the front …nothing

the only damage is a small scuff i reckon i can polish out tomorrow on the nose of the bonnet . no dent nothing . as for the Renault Kadjar …he needs a new back bumper

Um no. We could have taken out Iran over the past 30 years but we have not.

There is the reasoning right here, not to mention potential nuclear war with China.

Only parts of Seoul, and they would have to position them in a very vulnerable location.

Of course hundreds of thousands would die. But South Korea could beat North Korea on its own conventionally. This was not true 30 years ago.

The main problem would be China, and the potential nuclear strikes from the North.

When did i say it would be simple?

Two years ago we were sightseeing in Cracow and some son of a bitch could not properly leave the parking lot.

Needless to say, I only needed to have that little piece of black plastic in the corner of the bumper changed (the chrome on top of it was fine).

It is only my guess but given the way it was damaged and the amount of red paint on it and on the broken pieces lying around, he must have made himself a really deep groove running over most of the side of his car. Those € 40 on my end almost felt satisfying given his likely damage.

Also, make sure it really is nothing more serious.

When I was 18 I got hit pretty bad while riding a motorbike. I wanted to turn left and the asshole (18yo I knew) behind me didn’t pay attention and tried to overtake me. I was doing about 30 km/h. He wasn’t sure what speed he had, just that he “had it in fourth in high RPM.” Škoda Fabia, i.e. anywhere betweeb 100-120 km/h. Which probably saved me because the crash catapulted me upwards (and front and left) and I flew OVER the car without actually making physical contact with it (or to be more precise, the car just zoomed under me).

Anyways, my bike was totaled, but the car seemed fine. My license plate was completely printed on the front bumper, the light was cracked, and there was some little crack on the plastic and paint damage, but really small. €80 fix it seemed.

Well it turned out that the light and its entire housing was damaged so they needed to change that. The bumper also needed to be changed. But most importantly, even though the airbags were not set off the airbag sensor was moved so it needed to be changed too. And apparently that automatically means changing the wires from sensor to the ECU. Voila, € 1600 there you go.

Not bad given that the kid’s father bought the car two weeks earlier.

Iran has only really become a major issue under the weak Obama admin . again they are the only real nation that could put up a real fight and inflict alot of causality in the middle east which is why israel has not had a go.

the main centre of soul is well within range so much so the US has moved their HQ 90km back from soul …this expense would not be made if there was not real concern .

debatable , on the face south Korea is quite strong but logically they rely massively on the US , i have no doubt they could hold their own but i wouldnt put money on them being able to successfully to NK out or vice versa .

just took it for a country road run , everything seems fine , just minor scratches to the front , ive spotted a few more now the suns gone and i had a torch on it but again nothing major . although a few concern me as i can feel them with my nail .

in the words of my other half "dont be so ridiculous there is nothing there " in response to my suggestion of getting the bumper resprayed if they dont come out with the stuff ive ordered to arrive tomorrow .

This brings back High school memories.

For fuck’s sake Iran’s involvement in cooking the evidence for US and UK administration as they were deciding whether to invade Iraq is well known today and you say that they have become major issue under Obama? They dragged you into a major war that has led to well over million civilian casualties and jumpstarted the spread of terrorism both in Iraq as well as internationally throwing you personal accomplishments in Aghanistan away and you just give them a pass?

yes they have always been a thorn in the side for us im not disputing it and rather powerful in their region . What i mean however is up until their nuclear program they have never really posed an external threat that couldnt be dealt with .

Now however they have been allowed to modernise and increase their global military reach which is an issue no one seems to be dealing with .

good news is the scratches have 95% gone, some plastic part had come loose behind the grill i so had to pop the bumper off to fix that , but she seems to be okay , ill have another T-Cut session next weekend as well and hopefully it will be good as new

So using your logic with North Korea, we should have taken Iran out years ago, since they were not a threat.

For some of their artillery, but if they wasted that on indirect fire on a city they would have less to use on the Souths Military.

Did you even watch the video? We’re talking NATO vs Iraq levels of technology gaps here.

So again using your logic we should “taken them out years ago”. And i never said North Korea could be easily dealt with, but South Korea objectively could beat them in a conventional conflict.

Their military equipment is mainly made up of U.S/Soviet shit that is 40 years old, and since we cut off their maintenance supplies after they overthrew the Shaw, most of their f-14s and cobras are rusting in their hangers.

And even if they were functional in large numbers, they outmatched by western planes and choppers. Iran could not even defeat Iraq when their equipment was top of the line, and NATO blew through Iraq like it was nothing.

correct , we should have taken them out or at least a surgical strike in-place of the current deal we have .

indeed they would , however they have enough guns to really do both , my doubt is again their logistical capabilities in keeping them firing .

its all well a good having a tank , but its useless if you cant keep it running and firing … thats where they lack . which has always been the issue , which they seem to be slowly addressing now the threat is becoming more real .

providing south korea could keep its army running …yes

Thats correct …we would win but it wouldnt be as easy as iraq , iran will have learnt from the gulf war and be alot more prepared . had we done them in around 2012 it would have been alot easier .
