He did look like he was reaching when they shot him, but the officers orders were contradictory and confusing, and they handled the situation horribly. I donât see why they could not have cuffed him, after he was already on the ground with his legs crossed, and fingers on his head. They could have kept their weapons trained on him while one subdued him.
The cop was fired, which is understandable, especially given he had âyouâre fuckedâ engraved on the dust cover of his AR.

I watched this in disgust everything about the way it was handled was completely wrong . Do you put it down to trainining ? Or do we put it down to a trigger happy officer ?
First off if youâre in a situation where you believe someone is armed but seems to be complying . Have them turn and face the other way . Thatâs buys you a split second if they do go for a gun they will have to turn an aim . You wonât .
Then give minimal instructions . If need be make them strip until youâre happy . Then a member if your team approaches slowly and secures the person .
This was how I was trained . Not spend 10 minutes in a tense stand off with some guy pooing his pants . Secure him and move on and secure the rest of the area .
All this officer did was make the guy panic into fucking up and the guy did fuck up why try to pull his trousers up at that moment ?
Also no need for the amount of rounds he put into the guy . Thatâs was a complete waste of tax payers money

The guy who got shot was also drunk, plus having a rifle pointed at you, and being told âif you make one mistake weâre going to shoot youâ probably doesnât help you remain calm. The officers instructions were also retarded, he told him to crawl with his legs crossed and hands in the air, and his face was down when the girl shuffled, so he did not see how he was supposed to do it.
Reaching for his shorts was probably just instinctive. Horrible situation all said and done, massive incompetence on the officers part, and the police department even agreed he made a shit awful mess of the situation. Luckily he was fired.
