Troll cave II

What is the story behind your username, @ProkyBrambora i would like to hear the story behind yours as well.

That’s how local nazis “celebrated” Hitler’s birthday a few years ago. They kind of learned since that it doesn’t pay off.

Proky = derivation from my name Prokop
Brambora = potato

In school they called me Proky all the time (and i am called that still), one time someone joked and called me Proky Balboa (like Rocky Balboa), and this is pretty close to brambora.
And so my nickname was created.

Some news from the Czech Republic.

This all means that the Czech vote in the European Council will be strictly against. Czech minister of interior announced that he will do his best to get other countries on board (he has already secured support of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, meanwhile Estonia got on board Latvia and Lithuania).

In other news:

  • Swedish government was lambasted by local media for opposing the proposal in front of home audience but not fighting it in Brussels. Change in attitude will hopefully follow.
  • Norway and Switzerland, which are not members of EU but would be bound by the rules as EFTA/Schengen members, started voicing their opposition.
  • Netherlands went completely nuts and wants to ban all pistols in EU.

Considering the way you treated my invitation to the range I’d say that potato is a good nickname for you.

Ah, are you a fan of the Rocky movies? I could see you not liking the forth one since the Czech/Russian boxer loses.

Wow i did nazi that coming, that kinda shit makes me Fuherious, anne frankly it pisses me off.

What exactly is the motive behind this gun ban? Are they aware the weapons used in both Paris attacks were illegal, and had absolutely nothing to do with legal fire arm ownership?

Meanwhile the trial of the year in the Czech Republic will start on May 31. With American charged of committing mass murder.

There are two main motives:

Firstly, the EU motive. It has been in cooking for a very long time but they faced too much opposition to even introduce it out loud. So gun control freaks abused the attacks while spineless politicians see it as a way to show that they are “doing something” to maintain safety of general population.

Secondly, there are millions of muslims in France and Belgium (and UK) and it freaks out their local politicians that these people could obtain firearms legally. They know they would face too much opposition if they tried to push gun ban through national parliaments, so they are pushing it through EU. Moreover they can’t say out loud they are doing it all in order to make sure muslims don’t get guns… cause that would be racist.

Not even being reported here. First American to ever be extradited, you think it would be big news.

Surly they cannot get any weapons like the ones used in Paris, legally in any of those countries?

Not those full auto firearms smuggled from Balkans.

But with some (considerable) effort they could buy semi-auto rifles for “sport shooting”.

“Muslim sport shooting” are three words that freak anyone living in a French speaking EU country out.

I heard that over half of France’s Army is deployed on the streets, have you heard anything about this?

no i am not a fan of Rocky movies, i think i have seen only like three and i dont even remember them.

But anyway, i was trying to make a conversation here which wouldnt involve guns or politics and it seems that I have failed

not that much no  they have around 10,000 deployed , they will remain until after the EUROS in the june (big football/soccer tournament ) which they are rather worried about .

Dammit, go out right now, and rent 1-4 (skip 5 it’s god awful). Those movies are brilliant and inspiring, and everyone should watch them. Hell i watch all of them at least once a month.

I’m sure they’re preparing tons of white flags, and learning to say “I surrender” in Arabic, in preparation for a another attack.

no need everyone knows that the French flag is Velcro and in times of war the red and blue are easily removable

I’m sure 90% of their training involves how to drop the weapon, and retreat effectively.
