Who left Iraq despite numerous warnings that when the U.S presence was gone ISIS would starting seizing territory?

Who decided it was a good idea to take out Gaddiffi and destabilise Libya?

Who thought it was a good idea to arm rebels in Libya, many of whom went on to join ISIS?

Who thinks it’s still a good idea to shower weapons and ammo into the “moderate” rebels in Syria, and continue to give weapons even though it ends up in the wrong hands?

Who has sat on their hands while ISIS has pillaged its way across the middle east the past three years?

All those actions have made ISIS what it is today, their major territorial gains started when the Obama administration decided to prematurely pull out of Iraq.

I actually agree on both. Especially Czech Republic could have easily maintained the 2% GDP commitment but for some reason fails at it since 2005. At least it seems it is getting back slowly and Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungaria and Poland even send their troops to Baltic states (quite a symbolic numbers for now though).

Why are the Baltic states even in NATO? What do they bring to the table besides needing to be guarded by other NATO countries?

Though I think that this should not be the reason western countries should bail out completely.

Western countries shouldn’t be there right now, they should have left after the Soviet Union collapsed. The U.S should not have to pay 70% of the NATO budget when it does not need NATO for its defence. NATO has turned into just another welfare program.

Europe aside from a few countries could not give a rats ass about its own defence, so why should a country 4000 miles away care?

Yeah and so we have some lunatics like that here too (probably more) but the scale is what matters. Massive scale of this is almost exclusive to Russia by what I know. It is connected to their nationalism - they saw it as the imperium that they lost and needed to be restore, not a dark age under communist regime that passed.

May I remind that China isn’t also most democratic state yet we trade and cooperate with them a lot, and our leaders welcome them like kings. This is just pointless. I’m idealist and think that democracy should be guarded and protected and miles don’t have anything to do with. You are pragmatic and believe that everyone should take care of them self.
Though I agree on the spending as I said. Let one or two nations feeding the NATO ruins the idea anyway.
