Tutorial grinding

However useless it is, I just wanted to let you all know that it’s possible to grind to level 16 in Herbalism within the part of the tutorial that’s set in Skalitz.
Yes, I did go around and pick up literally every single plant available within the Skalitz walls, if you sell it all to the merchants there you can get up to around 250 groschen.

Have fun with this knowledge that you’ll likely never use.

As for as i know high herbalism stat is for pick up more and more plants that you need in case you wish to brew alchemic potions: instead to pick up 1 plant, with high herbalism you pick up, let’s say, 10 at the time. So it’s not useless at all… Infct, if i remember well, herbalism is under strnght.

level 17 more precisely

I did this and stored any excess I had In the chest at your home. The items will still be there when you come back to bury your parents.

It gave me about 1000 groshems by the time I got to rattay

Herbalism level 17 and i think 60-70% progress to 18, 50% minimum.
Yes, indeed. I didn’t even (not the first time I’d done it, back then I did trade) sell one of them - stored everything in that chest in your parents house, then took all of it out and brought it to the first proper storage chest you get at the mill.
It was over 100 mint, and 2,5k, maybe even 3k of nettles and like 2,2k dandelions.
Please don’t send straitjackets after me.

I grinded forty hours before mission six too big mistake it was balanced using a sword to that point but trying a warhsmmer with head blow perk wow I took eighteen cumans on one two hit bop it’s too easy now I did baptism of fire alone then did it again with more of them this time. And it’s the Devs fault in some form because of the save system but then again it’s our fault for being perfectionists and not rolling with the story is actually serving time r failing objectives . But continuing so we grinding one we love the new game so we take our time but also don’t want to be killed so often with limited choice in begining so we kill until we can stand five six blows me I can take about thirty hits but only four head hits the combat system is brill but when I realised that u can just spam attack forgetting defence it over powers them if your moving back n forth so fast spamming beats them to easy. And the reason for fast spamming is the target system is stupid No lock on please reserve unless I choose or am just guna kill as quick n not enjoy the slow block and master mechanics it’s ruining my experience but only with the warhammer the sword is different and perfect you can’t just spam and get away with it. I noticed when my brother age eight beat kunesh spamming jab kunesh didn’t land a single punch. Lol

There is also a perk that levels Strength along with Herbalism.

Got it I’m just to strong now lol

Are you saying I missed some plants? And that’s have to be quite a few too, I only got halfway through lvl 16. Or maybe by picking strength in the character customisation you got a boost in herbalism.

I think you don’t. But maybe, you do not appreciate second part of tutorial — “Run!”

Store ANYTHING that you forage, steal or loot (from sacks, open containers or successfully knocking out NPCs). Lookout for bandages and alcohol (from tavern cellar). If you luck out, perhaps a wealthy villager or even a guard.

All that loot will be there once your chest is moved to Theresa’s in Rattay. Also if Henry’s food supplies are low (after escaping Talberg to bury his parents), then loot food & gear from all the corpses he finds on the road to Skalitz. The pile of corpses outside that boarded up church is a great source of nourishment

Don’t forget the sweet perks you get from all that flower picking. the bonus to charisma early is very nice, and if you did get all that nettle picked you must have also unlocked the “hidden” perma buff resistance for a +2 vitality right from the get go. yeah it’s very easy to get up to lvl 10 Herbalism and chose the perk that gives you xp for strength while you pick more herbs. Run around getting a few levels in strength make taking on old Kunesh a little easier if you haven’t figured out the fist fighting combat yet. And you can trade around get a decent amount of groschen to start off with and give you more options early game. I also like to pick up some of the small repair kits and get started on my maintenance exp right away. It’s worth taking your time in the tutorial and enjoying your poor villagers before you know what happens.

Bonus to charisma is nice, but strength…got the perk at 10 herbalism and by the time I “Ran!” ( with 17 + 50%) I had 5 strength (I began with 1). Partially from herbalism, partially from kunesh fist spam after telling my fellas to help me even tho I didn’t help them (speech xp), partially for ignorich “Chain Strikes” part of combat tutorial and just hitting the fella over and over. The strength from herbs is not really worthwhile - rattay combat training gives strength at least 10 times as fast, and you have to do it any way if you want to get decent combat stats as soon as you can.

And be WARY of knocking out NPCs, lockpicking, and otherwise crime in Skalitz. Sometimes, for reasons unknown to me and what I can only assume as hidden bugs, there won’t be a bounty on you, nobody will react - and yet you’ll end up with -100 reputation in skalitz (though that probably doesn’t matter, I didn’t check) as soon as you leave.

By the way, there is a method to kill the cuman that chases after you in the Run  Didn’t tackle the 3 at once, wasn’t that persistent. Also with the same method you could probably beat a certain big bandit with a club, but, again, didn’t test that - was overloaded by 900 pounds/kilos at the time.

No, I really mean ONLY in Skalitz, all of that is BEFORE helping Martin make the sword. That’s also why you can only get around 250 groschen, because only 3 merchants will buy the flowers (the charcoal burner, the general merchant stall and the general merchant shop).

I got 4 of the merchants to buy flowers, only the grocery lady and the guy selling clothing wouldn’t buy flowrs.
