"We added Ultra settings lately, so now interiors have shadows from all light sources and also global illumination and it looks kick ass."

Here are GPUs’ performances. All graphics settings maxed out.
Developers are still optimizing and it can run better.
RX 480 / GF 1060 - ULTRA 20-30+ FPS

GF 1080 - ULTRA 50-60+ FPS

Hmm, no ultra on my RX 480 then, oh well, it is nearing the end of it’s usefulness anyway. Good info.

I think, when you can play it on Ultra on 30FPS, you will easily achieve 60FPS if you lower your graphics settings a bit.

Ultra settings is what I always play on. Simply gorgeous!

Are FPS dependant on screen resolution (IE, could still play at ultra setting on a GTX 970 at 1080P resolution? Or is it too much to ask?

We are always talking 1080p resolution. Mainly because those graphics cards are best performing on such resolution. Anyway, I ask about resolution too. So consider those FPS dependent on screen resolution.

they’re future proofing the game

wow those screen shots look real nice.

You can keep your settings in Ultra for most of the settings but if you need better frame rates you can lower the shadow detail or effects that use the most processing power and you will see a big difference in frame rate while keeping picture quality. If you have lots of RAM you could always keep texture detail and texture resolution high and it will barely effect frame rate.

Tip: Lower the brightness and raise the gamma/contrast, it will add more depth to the lighting in the scene.

You could play at ultra at that resolution with 20 - 30 FPS of course.

Looks great can’t wait to use those settings and still have 60fps cause I’m pc god

@savvym

Could you edit the image URLs like so: .jpg:orig ?

In that way those Twitter images will be displayed in highest possible resolution.

Thanks.

Example:

vs.

They are already made like that.

Nope, I just did that

Aha, you wizard.

Glad to hear my 1080ti will finally be useful for something. I expect RAM and CPU to bite me in the ass though.

You all talking about ultra, but you forget about us - low settings guys.

I’m not forgetting you. I always played games on low. But I have hard time to find something useful towards minimum requirements.

Don´t worry, we also have something for the fans of low graphic settings
