Untextured/black envrionments

Hi, just purchased the game, and started up a new game and when I got into the in-game cutscene, all the textures in the game looked dark, the environments looks as if they’re untextured and even the character is of a black skin. I assume that its just loading in textures but It all ended up the same when I take control of my character. Tried looking for a similiar bug in the forums and online but seems that mine is new.

Not all the textures are dark though, some models are greyed out (untextured), and the hay roofs and the horse hair looks textured. The character in the inventory screen seems normal funny enough

Can anyone look into this and help me solve this issue? It’s really jarring to see everything in a dark environment.

i have same if you just go in night horse riding and then game just crashes but i think its not a bug computer just cant drive it always i just finished pribysalevs battle and end scene was weird but just putting esc and the game was again working

Maybe a picture of it will help explain my issue.
Game runs fine, but the look of this really makes it unplayable for me, hope the admins/devs can help solve this problem.

Hi there,
Seems like it is problem of GPU.

  • make sure that your GPU drivers are up to date
  • and then send us your DxDiag.txt

(but this dark version does look pretty cool :+1:)

Hmm, I guess your first solution does help, I’ve updated using windows update, and everything is back to normal, thanks!

Didn’t know that I stumbled upon the drow underworld version of the build, but guess I’ll be hacking pale skinned people instead, :slight_smile:

Damn I kinda wish I could make this happen on purpose, add it in as an effect to poison or perhaps sleep deprivation!

Some people just get all the cool bugs.
