Voice controls / commands

I wanted to open a topic here for the possibilities of VOICE COMMANDS / CONTROLS!

My thoughts are kinda inspired by the likes of GTA5, in the sense of when robbing a fuel station you could shout into your headset “Faster, speed up, hurry the f**k up”, etc and the cashier would infact go faster and you would get more cash!

My idea, if even at all feasible… Would be like in the big battles, you could say “CHARGE” whilst you and your fellow swordsmen/cavalrymen are about to set off in true battlecry style (#swagpoints), or when in the video they are on horseback in the treeline waiting in ambush… “CHARGE!!!” then you and your fellow horsemen charge out and crush your now startled foe…

Finally before I waffle on too much, if you had charge of a group of archers your could say “READY ARCHERS”… Followed by “LOOSE” and pow… rain arrowy death on the enemy…

These are all of course, ideas, and may not be implementable or feasible HOWEVER… Fun ideas that could be great if implemented! Post anymore thoughts / ideas here

It’s not Mount and Blade.

Things you mentioned would be better in new Mount and Blade perhaps, but in Kingdom Come you ain’t general

Fair comment, but I never said as general, you are able to have allies, and easier to talk a command than type / press buttons

Seems like a gimmick to me that wouldn’t be all that useful. Look at the issues Microsoft has been having with Kinect not accurately recognizing voice commands for the XB1 based on different languages and accents alone. They can’t even make it work in all the places they’re releasing the console. Voice commands were often sketchy in Mass Effect as well once they were added in.

I’m not a big fan of these clown performances. Jumping around, shouting … keep some dignity when playing games buddy  But seriously, it’s niche and it’s often not working properly, so …

Yeah you are right actually. The more I think about it, guess I just want to be in a medieval fight too much :open_mouth:

If you think about some basics like “Stay back”, “keep close”, “shields up”, “hold” and “loose” that you can access by F-buttons or some combination on the controller, it would not be to complicated to implement wit the AI System.

At least for the Dog this would be essential. I dont need a cut scene and dialogue options for my pet, if I want to tell him to sit.
