Hmmmmm. Well I’d agree not to disagree with you…if only I haven’t been driving myself toward an apoplectic seizure playing Sisyphus. In complete futility of trying to run this game on a $13k, state of the art computer system.
It also doesn’t seem that 2% of my fellow PC gamers who bothered to leave a Steam review --who you so scorn-- agree with you either…
All Hail the Ides of March!
Oh and btw: here are some concrete statistics on the PC side:
1.Steam PC gamers made up 60% of the 500,000 copies sold in the 1st 48 hours of release in Feb. That’s a record 300,000 digital game copies sold in the 1st two days of KCD release. And yet
2.By this very same PC player base: the game has since tanked in rank to 86/100 in gamer interest & playing trends on Steam . ** As of today, the peak number of PC gamers has fallen to 5,958
3.Which implies the following: of the original 300,000 dedicated PC Steam gamers who bought the game in the 1st 2 days in Feb,the maximum number of gamers still playing KCD to date is now 5,958/300,000 = 1.986% – aka 2% – of the original PC gamer population since release in Feb…
Of course, this speculation is exclusive of any other digital/online release sources like GOG etc. and traditional retail hard copy sources. So a liberal margin of error should be considered when contemplating this degree of pessimistic outlook for the game’s future.
See my scandalous speculation of this statistic above. ^^
Still incredulous? Know that you may need to seek it from an unconventional place where it was apparently extracted (and where I cannot follow you) i.e.the Gluteus Maximums…
