I’ve read pretty much about the XIV-XV centuries headdresses, but I still cannot find the answer whether it was absolutely necessary to wear a headdress when in public? I know that it could indicate your profession and emphasize your social standing, but was it necessary for men and women?
Who gives a fu#k?
This games broken again and you’re talking about headwear?

I’m not exactly sure about men, but I know that it was socially proper for a married woman to put up her hair and wear a headcovering. To wear it loose and free was okay for a young, unmarried woman, but it was analogous to loose morals in an older, married one.

Yes, this point was quite ubiquitous in Europe.
In-game, I like that they kept with that social trend by having the Old Whore at the roadside inn have long and loose hair.
