I haven’t played the game since April, and recently started playing against after 1.5 dropped but in this version I no longer encounter Wayfarers.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Random bandit encounters still occur, but no Wayfarers.
They are quite rare in my game tbf
If you are playing on save files from 1.4 they can be corrupted. Reference below. Some people had to start the game over to fix these bugs. I see wayfarers quite often and am using 1.5 luckily I was not playing during the 1.4 patch. You can always send a bug report along with a save file to support. What platform are you playing on?

And I started a brand new game. Still no Wayfarers.
I’ve started my 5th walkthrough … now on 1.5 only ever seen 1 wayfare and that was the faint hearted knight on my first ever walkthrough 
For those on PC there is a mod that increases the chance of a wayfarer or bandit.
That mod is really outdated.
Unfortunately alot of mods haven’t been updated since like Feb-March.
Seems to still work for me.
I have no difficulty in finding shoeless joe, begging Mary, and the puzzle master &poacher man
