We are famous guys :)

Or maybe you are an idiot for breaking the friendly enviorment over here ? @derekwsparks

Many other people gave alot of money for the game, as in actually alot of money, and they are not in the credits as they are not active members of the community.

If you think money can buy everything you are wrong as you are a clear example they can not. Maners maketh man, try buying them instead.

Tsh-h-h, no need to be on the same level with him. Heā€™s gonna be punished, just donā€™t attack him. Be nice and better than him. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Tbh I should have bought it its great.
Plus Im already planing to put the collectors mao in my office and tell my students its authentic, just to see for how long it will last (Uni students are not so interestedā€¦) I bet the sword would work as well

Yeah, gonna make some students to get interested is such things. :relieved:

I hope KCD2 will have merch swords as well

Yeah, me too. This time, when iā€™m not a kid without money, iā€™ll buy the best edition and get this sword. :smirk:

would be cool but I think the idea to make swords and stuff was because of kickstarter to get something special for high tiers
this doesnt mean that it wouldnt be a nice merchandise for kcd2

Ye but still with people interested Im sure it would sell as a great merch, just remember the beerā€¦
I miss itā€¦

I just donā€™t get the attitude. ā€œI wanted to gave them money, so I asked for a special treatment.ā€ Not like you could become a high tier backer instead. And now he is spitting poison, that somebody actually wanted to meet him and he declined, because that person wasnā€™t VIP enough for him. Jeez. Nevermind. That is some wonderful sword, @sirius.

Yeah, Italian from 16th Century. He was used by some martial arts warrior back then. But, itā€™s from private collection in Russia.

Nice sword, wondering whoā€™s mark is that? I see two problems that I have no idea if Iā€™d be able to live with them.

  1. Grip would use some leather and to remove wooden part (gem, best for hands is wooden covered with leather), but itā€™s soooooo nice. But impractical. But still sooooo very niiiice. Lovely.
  2. area where should be shilt is soo narrow and it looks weak. Also Iā€™m unable to tell how more difficult it can be to do some locking / blocking / parrying in higher guards. Again it looks so nice and give the sword very elegant look.

Thx to these things and lack of ā€œdentsā€ (impact remnants) it looks like more ceremonial or showcasing sword, than something to do some practical things with. Canā€™t compare elegant look of this blade to rusty look of my feder.
Donā€™t understand me wrong, Iā€™m not criticizing, just looking on the sword by fencerā€™s eyes. Do you know how can I find this sword on internet? Iā€™m interested in itā€™s background.

Knights never used their armour or swords just for ceremonies. They wore everything the best to the war, cus it was their party for life. Even in KC:D it was showed. All knights wore the best. (Some familiar historical and reconstructor told me that).

The sword in Russian private collection, but iā€™ll try to find some info.

ā€œArmoury of the Doges Palaceā€ - Try to search here. It was there before, then someone bought it.

yeah well, if this is original (it looks like so) it doesnā€™t have dents. Anywhere. Not on blade, not on crossguard. So this one definitely were not used even in sparring. 16th century was anyway time when knights were a little bit obsolete against other weapons and longswords (or better spada in this case) were often more of a showcase than a tool (for example my feder is pure tool as it is rusty, robust and ugly  but still kinda light).

Armoury of the Doges Palace looks very interesting! Wish I could get in there some time.

edit: this is also interesting reading: https://www.zornhau.de/dinkelsbuhl-first-steel/

Yeah, i would like to see everything there by myself, but not in this life, i guess. :relieved:
