and the value of the Pound just dropped 10% as a result…

This will just hurt everybody… when both sides start putting Tarrifs on trade, making travel between the UK and EU require visum… and when investments in the UK will drop as a result.

Iam no fan of the EU and the huge bureaucracy but Trade and cooperation is what have keeped the peace since world war two… this is the wrong way to go.

Offcause in the end the the result might not really make much difference for the NO side.

Norway voted no to join the EU, and still have implemented lots and lots of EU laws… since if you want to sell any goods within the EU, it have to follow the EU regulations.

The main difference is, they got no influence on the laws… they just have to follow them if they do not want to hurt their economy badly.

I don’t really think many of the Brits understand the full implications of what this will mean… if what’s voted for actually does transpire.

Been following this from down under. Lots of Europeans over here, keen to see what the outcome is.

Markets have taken a bettering as a result of the uncertainty

I’m pretty sure the peace that has been in Europe since world war two has to do more with the threat of Nuclear annihilation. The only reason the Soviets and NATO did not brawl it out was because of nukes, the EU had nothing to do with it.

Markets are not an issue at the minute . Being shouted up for some drama but in reality it’s a very short term panic with very few investors on the market .

Few days and they will settle again . No serious worries there

As for all the details that’s impossible to say until we start to set things out . But there will NOT be any tariffs . Industries on both sides wouldn’t allow it be a castrophic decision for both to impose them , makes zero business sense

I find the picture with Breaveheart crying a little bit odd.
Will the Scouts now vote for leaving Great Britain?
Wasn’t the possible lost of the EU membership a reason for thier poll to not leave Great Britain?

The scots got banged hard tonight  And Junckers! Now the EU must be strong and dont soften everything up again for an extra deal. Britain must feel the difference for leaving the EU otherwise noone will realy need the EU anymore and more will leave. Dutch’s say they are the next :stuck_out_tongue: Oh my…

Congratulation. Hopefuly this is beginning of the end of the EU.

they cant leave without Westminster giving them a referendum …thats never going to happen . not in our lifetime anyway .

luckily for us any such action to screw us over in a deal would also screw the EU over . we are a massive market for the EU , the European businesses will want a solid deal and quickly

Every single Scottish constituency returned a stay result.

Nicola Sturgeon is going to initiate a new referendum to leave GB. Last time Scots voted to stay, lets see the results of a new one.

I wouldn’t blame them if they left the UK and applied for EU membership as a Sovereign nation in their own right.

she does not have the power to call one , only to demand one .

she wont get it before we leave the EU if in our life time at all .
i also dont believe they would leave . they would no longer be able to keep the pound as well as now a border issue . its now a completely different situation to the last time they voted .

will NOT happen .

Why is that?

well for starts its our money anyway .

but you ask why ? because people here are fed up with the massive influx of low skilled labour from europe and big time in these areas . where the majority of the work is low skilled in production lines etc . such jobs our now well over 80% eastern European labour .

also the EU wastes much of the money on vanity projects that are more concerned about promoting the EU than actually helping the areas .

also many such as myself are voting on the basis of democracy and restoring control to our country .

financially for me this is very very bad but i voted with my heart and what i felt was right and wrong on that basis

It seems that the leave vote is very heavily correlated with poor education and understanding of the economic and social impact.

hmmmm… I read that most leave votes came from brit populated regions with a lower emigrant percentage. The most that wanted to stay came from regions with a higher percentage of foreigners and emigrants. I hope I ll find the article since it was in one of the german papers today /yesterday
