What am I supposed to do against practically full plate?

Hey Guys,

Just a few hints for such questions:

First you are just as skilled, as you would stand up from your table, would grab a sword, and try to win a battle: believe me, you would lose…

So, if you avoid travelling on the road, and crouching next to it, you can collect a lot of herb, and will find many bandits / cumans, whose not expecting you. This way you can easily kill and loot them, if the undergeared, or avoid them if they are in full plate.

As its already written, the mace is pretty strong against the initial low level enemies.

Time-by time you should drink a Savior Schnapps. Get used to it, else you could reply a huge amount. Its easy to cook it in an alchemy lab. Don’t forget, even at low level, you can make 1 mistake at every attempt. This way the process can be speed up a bit (for eg you skip the boil 1 turn).

Also, if you move during the night with a Nighthawk potion, it can make wonders. Bandit camps are a breeze this way.

Fight?
Mind you I’m not using a good shortsowrd so that the combat will last longer.
Also as it was said maces, they will destroy your opponents.

Where did you get the St. Gregory?

I use either the Queen of Sheba sword or Herold’s sword. Work as a charm.

Another tip for weaponuse is to use the Longsword alone, and shortswords, huntingswords, sabres, maces and axes with a shield.

He meant St. George’s sword probably. It’s in treasure map VII I believe.
It’s also in another spot, but that’s a mistake by the devs and it’s not supposed to be there.

I found it in a treasure chest. I can’t remember which treasure map it was though. It is an awesome weapon

That’s the one I meant. Was not sure about the name anymore

horse + bow and you can beat all foes no matter of what stage in the game.
All it takes is for them to get close enough that hitting is not an issue, sprint away with the horse as soon as you let the arrow loose, draw a new one and repeat.

Soon you will be swimming in loot from bandits all over…

Maces/hammers. Blunt damage destroys plate armor

A sword with good stab damage. Stab them repeatedly in the face, worked good for me early game, even against visored helmets. That is until Henry looted enough bandit camps and treasure chests to afford full plate himself. Now it takes 6 or more heavily armed/armored opponents to take down the whelp and that’s if he’s being a lazy arse.

good strength, ceremonial mace(61 base dmg) and bain poison coating( pro bain mod if on PC), first blood perk , savage perk and maintenance perks is my response.

Step 1: Get a mace…bailiffs mace or ceremonial mace
Step 2: Pick up a few fighting perks like head splitter, the one to increase your chance of winning a clench, etc
Step 3: Grab a Shield
Step 4: Win. Specifically engage/close distance, clinch, win clinch and attack/combo during the stagger caused by winning the clinch.

Yew longbow and better piercing arrows.
One shot to face.

Use your bow on everything living in the woods and shoot the chumps logs to
increase the bow points.

Mace/Hammer and Shield or piercing arrows. Blunt damage is good against plate and stab is good against chain and slash/stab is good against softer armors.

ok since your new ill start by saying the obvious, a bow is a distance tool. so use this to your advantage.

so your riding and 3 fully plated bandits walk out of the brush to ambush you. what do you do? You DO NOT GET OFF YOUR HORSE. You need to ride away from them, about 50 yards or so while keeping them agro . Basically you need to create enough distance so you can fire a shot off with your bow. dont get greedy just fire one time and ride away again in the opposite direction of which you just came and shoot at them again. aim for the head if possible, if u cant head shot them thats ok, but it will take more arrows to kill them. try to focus on 1 guy at a time if your not going for head shots. if you get un-horsed, while this dont always work , sprint away from your horse and dont call him over to you. then when the bad guys come to you sprint back to your horse, jump on asap and hold your sprint button(Left Shift) down while getting on and at the same time holding (W) down to move forward. by doing that, i normally can get back on my horse and get out of trouble at the same time.
since most of the time the enemies would stay aggro-ed to us, this also gave me the advantage most of the time. i found me self riding slower dragging the bandits to more open ground. Mainly anywhere i thought would be better to move around or to ride circles around them and shoot them . if you didnt know, you can have your bow at full draw and at the same time sprint with your horse, its very helpful. you can also have 1 maybe 2 perks that make you more damaging on a horse. in hardcore, i was mainly a horse archer towards the last half of the game mainly because it was way faster to kill them like how i just mentioned then to actually get off my horse and fight all of who ever. i hope this helped

I hope you didn’t give up, OP, because once you get the tactics down, and I’m no where near as good as some of these guys, it becomes a lot easier. Right now I have 44K groschen. Most of that was killing out a big bandit camp. It was fun.
