What I'd like to see (Suggestions + Brief Review)

This is a post coming from a PC player, who has experienced very very little bugs

I would also like to touch base saying that all 80 of my hours spent in-game, I have loved, but there’s always room for constructive criticism and ideas. This post is also a little bit of my own review of the game.

Going to try and make it simple, then I’m interested in opinions. I also understand there are also multiple mods covering a few of my points, however I’m also hoping that some modders see this post. I’m also sure that many of the things I’m mentioning, have probably already been discussed in the past, but it’s my post regardless and I’d like to see the responses.

Harder Combat for mid to late game (Coming soon in a patch)

More realistic damage - If you have 20-30+ hours in the game, you know what I’m talking about.

Followers - i.e. swords for hire, or Skalitz Soldiers that are on the low-end of equipment/skill.

Less random cauldrons of food everywhere - the nourishment mechanic in this game is awesome, however the random giant cauldrons of beans kind of trivialize it.

Moooore mid & late-game swords, possibly even a sword-maker mechanic, to construct your own sword! (Little far fetched, but I thought it a cool idea.)

Guilds - Some kind of guild/group/faction that you can join that gives random bounties or investigation quests on a weekly basis.

Tournaments - More than just archery, sword tourny would be great. Lance tourny is probably far fetched but would be neat too.

All around, I’d just like a lot more end game.

I love the game, and I think Warhorse has done something incredible, unique and definitely new. However, for myself and many of my friends, after we finish the game we feel like all there really is to do is to restart into a new game.

A few things I really like

Treasures are an excellent touch to the game, the variety of maps and the sheer number of treasures are amazing, love it. I spent a lot of time treasure hunting after completing the game.

Bounties were pretty fun while they lasted, I love bounty quests, I just wish they’d come back.

Equipment maintenance was done very well, I get a little too dirty a little too fast, but everything was done well especially grindstone

Dice and Archery Tourny I keep having a weird bug in my rattay archery tourny but other than that I always enjoy a good dice game and tourny

Graphics BEAUTIFUL game, and well optimized (Remember, I’m on PC)

Early Game! Early game was one of the greatest early game experiences I’ve ever had in any game. I loved that the game rewarded me for training with a professional for a while to get good, and make my character better before I go out into the real world.

No hand-holding The game does not hold your hand with little dotted pathways on a mini-map, this is the first game since Oblivion where I’ve actually had to read my quests. This game also promotes thinking for yourself.

Codex The codex is an amazing touch with a lot of information.

I can go on and on with things that I like equally as much, but I was trying to keep this post short, and I failed lol.
Opinions?

Edit: Just bolded a few things.

Pretty much agree with everything you’ve written

The map and the detailing that’s gone into the art is incredible. Love it…

If I’m being picky I’d like to see more variety in things such as caparisons and tabards. Just aesthetic stuff, nothing major obviously. Jazz the old horse up a bit more. Horse armour as well *in addition to the sneaky piece you find in the nest that is.

Having a ball with the game though as well… good times.

One thing I’d like to see more than anything else is an aiming reticle for the bow. There’s one for just walking around, there’s even an attack-direction one for swordplay, yet somehow the bow doesn’t get an aiming reticle? Not only is that confusing on principle, it’s damned aggravating.

Needs more crossbows. Your blacksmith father uses them as a reason not to teach Henry how to use a sword but try as I might they don’t seem to exist.
