Long time after the related quests (rattay, talmberg and sassau) are completed.
I still can sell/give the ears to B or the guy in Monastery. But Cuman’s trophies are stuck in my inventory and can’t be given/sold to anybody. Well they have 0 weight so it’s not a big deal… but still kinda weird. I guess I will not be picking them for the time being…
I’m pretty sure quest items will exit your inventory once the quest is complete. So there could be another quest related to delivering those items. Not sure though. But hey…at least you can admire your trophies whenever you want without worrying about the weight! lol
Try talk to Cpt. Bernhard or the other guy at the Talmberg court (edit: Robard)
Do the bandit quests and you will find the three people you can turn in trophies to. Captain Robard should take your Cuman trophy

First you have to raid all the Bandit-camps near Rattay for Captain Bernard , after this you can go to Talmberg, raiding the Cuman Camps for Robard and giving him the Trophies.
Yes, give them to the guy in Talmberg. I randomly talked to him and gave him Cuman ears I had in my inventory. I just stumbled across it; I didn’t know I could do it.
quest done at all 3 NPCs. Bandit/Cuman leaders still drop quest item
Oh, got it. I guess they are like all other quest items: Just stuck in your inventory forever. (At least this is what happens to me on PS4 Pro.)

maybe you can sell them again, if your reputation on the guards goes down again. these ears are there to build up your reputation, so should not be wrong to hold them until game is finished 
This is a glitch for sure I have spurs and helmets in my inventory, and also the bloody hoof pick, and the brick from the monastery, no way to get rid of them. Its not a bad bug, but still a bug.

It is much worse in Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
I could understand that some quest items stay in your inv forever. Thing is, you can still collect spurs and helmets after the corresponding quests are completed (cause camps respawn) but you can no longer sell/give them to B. So either you just wont pick them from bodies or just live with them filling up your inv…
It would be nice if you could still give them to B or someone even if not for the money then at least for small reputation boost imho.
