What Weapon Will You Wield?

Bastard sword (don’t give to sh*ts what it’s actually called or how wrong it is to call it that…it’s the name of it in the game:joy::joy::joy::joy:) or… A shield…that’s right, im going captain America 15th century bohemian style:joy::joy::joy::joy:

Will we have Great Swords??

If not I’ll be using a Bastard Sword.

I’ll definitely be wielding my weapons in both hands.

I can’t remember tbf…aren’t longswords meant to be two handed only?..

Longsword!

Oooookkkk…I’m definitely gonna use the polearm… because I’m not very skilled at using the Lithuanian foot:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Bow and arrows, a shortsword and a dagger just in case.

short sword as a backup, main weapon probably a warhammer

Can we use Crossbows in this game?

I love Crossbows! Any peasant can become a Knight slayer with a crossbow. Compared to bows, learning to use and master the crossbow was almost a joke. Do not require strength, not ballistic weapon, direct aim and shoot, powerful penetration. What’s not to like?

A backup dagger for close combat…

Also.

Im new to this forum and can anyone tell me if there will be flails, morning stars and quarterstaff?

Also. Can we dual wield weapons like some Vikings did? Like Axe and Dagger or dual axes?

I’m sorry to tell you this, but… There’re no crossbows at release. Maybe, in the future DLCs or addons. About double wielding… Also, there’s no double wielding.

Did they? Did they really?

Im thinking along the lines of garbing in Medium-Light Armour (generally) making use of a Bow and for my primary Melee weapon - a Hand-Axe

My idea is to have a character that will blend in reasonably in the environment as some sort of Hunter/Peasant.

I’m guessing at least one Viking dual wielded a weapon at one point

I have no doubt that some used two weapons especially if they had no shield for some reason. But I belive that most of those dual wielding warriors used one weapon mainly for defence like later in the renaissance a main gauche and a rapier was used.

Those double wielding warriors weren’t living too long in 15th century for sure. :smirk:

I think it depends of the situation.
On a open battlefield with no suprises to any side I’m sure that a viking army would be defeated.

rapier and dagger combo was pretty popular, but something like dual wielding axes or swords…

I would never say until proved to be wrong that dual wielding vikings were more than a rare exception.
