What's Everybody Playing Right Now?!

Pathfinder: Kingmaker. I went through similar RPGs this year and this one’s interesting. While it smells a lot like fantasy, and don’t understand its mechanics, choices matter, I can slowly travel on the world map and talk to my companions which remind me of M&B times. I like to learn new things in games in order to enjoy it better. There are some enemies I can’t simply right click, I need to use stances, spells and upgrade useful abilities, have skill check of whole group, I need to manage my inventory which bring me memories of M&M.
The story is mostly voiced. The characters are different but they lack believability, so the good, evil, neutral, lawful, chaotic are for NPCs and companions very strict while players adjust their own starting ones towards somebody else’s set in stone behaviour.
I like it doesn’t reuse same locations even on random encounters, maybe I will see some later on.
The combat is a lot of missing hits, it happened few times I had lost all companions except one that beat the majority of enemies just because she receives less damage while other heroes die (fall unconscious) in two and don’t have time to heal in time.

Someone knows how to shut down a Person (a seller) from Ebay and on PayPal?

I find this pretty nice.
unfortunately it’s no longer available… :frowning:

Btw: To shutdown a ebay seller, you have to report him or his offer.

AC Odyssey. It’s not KCD or TW3 but still pretty fun imo.

Bouncing between games while we’re stuck at home…

My wife and I are playing our way through Borderlands 3. I’m going between Witcher 3, AC III (to get to AC Origins, to then get to AC Odessy…my backlog is sickening), Darksiders 2 (wife just started Darksiders 3), and Hero-U.

The Quest for Glory and King’s Quest series were some of my favorites as a kid, so it’s been a lot of nostalgia going through Hero-U. I’m glad the Coles made another game in the spirit of their previous works.

I got into Carcassonne. It’s rather good. Sometimes it seems to me I like certain games more when I get good at them. I couldn’t play it well at start but now I’m enjoying it against other players.
I used to play Civ 5 a lot and well but still haven’t figured out how to play 6 to a decent level. But still excited for new contents in Season Pass. I’m only playing base game so it’s time to try out something new.
I am also replaying Mafia 1 for x time, after very long time. It’s still fun and to my surprise I don’t remember most dialogues, just the main plot and what basically what happened but not why. That’s when I appreciate it another time I understand things. I only hope remade Mafia will be decent so I wouldn’t be ashamed to play it.

Just finished kcd for the first time, pleased I have got there but it’s left a swordy wenchy shaped hole in my gaming life.

Any tips on what to go for next? I play xbox1 and have gamepads. Tia

Is there a new Logo for Warhorse Studios?
I’m wondering about that icon, besides the Topic title if you scroll down from it!
warhorse-shield

Yep. They announced it on social a little while back. Personally prefer the original logo, but I suppose this one is more flexible in various applications.

So after a long try to get some things to run in KOTOR I & II i have to say something about that absolutely poor GameFront/FileFront :rage: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I hope they will read that post maybe on some day here.
Thank you, thank you very much! First you crying about closing your website and your upcoming ā€œbelovedā€ file archive deletion
Now you’re back and making the complete chaos in the world of modifications. Your Homepage style is trash.
Your search function and order of displayed search results are the biggest pain in the whole universe! Why you cant stay away?! Nobody needs you anymore! And for the people who transfer their mods back to them (often combined with a closure of Nexus download), you all have even less mind than GameFront!

Ghost recon wildlands, diablo 3, mordheim and this game ofcourse

Lots of IL2 Sturmovic Great Battles

Playing through Greedfall. Not great but fun. I like the setting and story. The story is good enough to want to play it through.

I find the game mechanics feel like a multiplayer game (not a good thing). Nothing immerses me to the extent that I don’t always feel like I am gaming - i.e. it has all of the immersion of space invaders. I would love to see a KCD type game set in the 1500s or 1600s.

I played Jurassic World Evolution, The Chronicles and Just Cause 3 recently. I enjoyed playing all three games. Then I played Mafia 3 which has ok story, just too repetitive missions. Lastly Hell Let Loose that was kind of fun but ran pretty poorly and misses some important features for me to fully enjoy it.

And previous weekend, I tried Tropico 6, it has some nice new features, but first I need to finish 5 that I enjoyed a lot.

Someone knows if Halo Infinity will be playable on windows 7? (steam?)
or is it only MS-Store?

Mud Runner and Among us

Demon Souls (yes, PS5);
I didn’t like any of the ā€˜soulsborne’ games, and then I discovered how RPG this game actually is: it is evident that the roleplaying world underneath the game is full on/near perfect… I literally got out my D&D manuals to check some of my likely damage rolls given specific weapons vs armours etc… the game is probably one of the best action D&D games ever made. I can see why it was so highly loved on initial release.
My partner and I both think it is one of the best RPGs we have ever seen, and ā€˜not just for the graphics’, but the gameplay is so tight, and the world has been built to be genuinely rewarding. (the though and inspired design shows that this game must have been conceived over a ā€˜very long’ time period.

Anyhow, just figured I’d keep this great thread going (took awhile to catch up on the last couple of hundred posts)
Again- wasn’t a fan of dark souls / bloodborne etc, … but Demon Souls is an amazing game, and whilst it may be an action title, the underlying RPG that doesn’t hold you hand and explain stuff is just phenominal.
A nephew came along and treated it like ā€˜any other game’, and found that aggravating people at home base pretty much meant his game was hosed.
Consequences… Hmmmm; love this game.

Next game on my list will be Cities: Skylines that will release soon.
