Sorry I don’t have the game yet and would like early access to it. If i buy the digital edition, do I get the game on steam? Or will i receive a DVD version of the game as the picture suggests?
Digital keys only. (Hence digital edition).
It is common to show content in a physical-ish form for illustrative purposes…
Note there are no DVDs included, which are shown (along with other items) for the physical editions.

the first picture could be a little misleading. But if you compare the different versions, it´s clear.
No, you get access over a game launcher (for the beta).
At the moment there is no decision how the final game will be distributed. Maybe on Steam, GOG or something different.
