Is this a riddle? âPrivate Showâ + âto the pressâ makes my brain hurt.
Private show - Purpose to only show to a small group of people to keep âprivateâ. Perhaps to investors.
To the Press - Purpose to share with whole world.
Private show to the Press - Purpose to confuse everyone.
Or possibly, it could mean you dont want to spend the money for a big public show, but are hoping that the press will generate the hype for you? Why go to E3 at all? You could have done that from home.
Iâm wagering the phrasing is a translation issue.
Maybe what was meant was a private show not open to the press?
It means it was a press conference, not open to the public.
They entice the press to come by promising that they are getting the news first, and getting exclusive information. If the news is already public knowledge, or old, it doesnât have any value and they [the press] wonât bother sharing it.

I cant seem to find anybody in the press who is commenting on it. I assumed it would be over by now.
It means that there are closed shows for selected journalists who have an invitation, and we are presenting them the new stuff in a private environment without public attending. Then later on, shortly after E3, theses journalists will share the content from the presentation with the world. Every journalist will get an USB stick with valuable content to do so.
That way we can go more into detail and present the game on a much more personal level with the journalists attending, than talking down from a stage. We can answer questions directly and switch the focus of the presentation more flexible for individual needs.

I donât think I will ever understand marketing though. It is always the opposite of what I would think to do.

Tobi nailed it. It wasnât an Agile user story walkthrough but it was a nice and appreciated acknowledgement of player feedback on this forum, steam and reddit combined with WHâs content development response.
Iâm huge fan of Rise of the Commonwealth mod in Fallout 4. As I said elsewhere think WHâs use of Locator was a brilliant implementation functionally equivalent to that modâs computer.
Itâs perfectly reasonable for WH to get content directly in the hands of the media. Just hope WH does more direct and not so lagged communication with the ardent fans of KCD and especially WH forum users, many of whom were backers. Respect.

I had to watch that video multiple times. once to hear what Tobi was saying. Once to watch the video that was playing. And a few more times just to drool over it.
