I was just wondering when the physical edition would be shipped. I am thinking of pledging for the Earl edition.
I’m thinking maybe it will be shipped the day before and arrive the day the game was supposed to be released. That seems like it would make the most sense, but I could be wrong.

No. Once the Alpha is released you’ll get a Steam-code via Mail. With this code the Alpha will be visible on Steam and you can download it. Without the code it will stay invisible. The final game’s physical editions will be shipped somewhere around the release date: Q4 2015.

I fully support the game as proven by my pledge, but now that we’ve seen the state of Alpha, let’s be realistic and err on the side of caution - I would be pretty happy if I have Act I to play for my birthday in June 2016. I know that the team is on a tight budget from the investor and major delay won’t be tolerated but I prefer to have the gameplay polished and most bugs sorted out rather than hastily released half baked product.
If you still believe in the game to be finished in 2015, please consider that NONE of the big games funded on Kickstarter (Wasteland 2, Star Citizen, Divinity: OS, Double Fine Adventure, Elite: Dangerous) was able to ship nowhere near the original schedule. 
KC: Deliverence would effectively be the first one. So let’s be supportive but don’t book that leave of absence to play KC:D just yet.
