When you lose a fight with some group, you become a prisoner of that group?

Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum and I am glad to be a part.

Referring to the topic: I’ve been thinking about a way to make more realistic theme: character death

For example, try to avoid it dies completely, so that way, instead, the protagonist becomes a prisoner of these, and have to find a way to escape. (Something like the style “MOUNT & BLADE”)

It’s just a humble idea, I hope reviews

(sorry, I’m not English-speaking)

Thanks for breaking the forum with your first post  Time for web dev to remove position absolute from h1 and style it better.

I think it’s interesting, but not realistic. You see, you will take people as captives if they worth something to someone who has something. That’s not case of ordinary son of blacksmith.

I’d say if it was a large enough group of e,g bandits, they do have the capacity to enslave you. If I was a bandit leader and I had the choice between killing people or enslaving them I’d gone with the second one, given that I have the resources to mange them. You can always use some extra work-power.

Work power for …? Bandits are bandits, they don’t own mines and selling ore  Don’t forget that even that extra work-power needs to eat and drink and i think that’s kind of stuff a bit hard to get in these times comparing our time  So sharing resources with captive, i don’t think it’s a good deal

No the bandits might not necessarily own stuff, but they might have captured some or claimed it as theirs. It really depends on the story of that group that wins the battle, you might get lucky that the guy who defeated your group actually needs some more workers.

There’s always some work that they could do for them, in fact I could make a long list. But, I’ll just let you use your imagination. Also, It doesn’t necessarily have to be bandits remember.

Here is the thread theme song.

That sounds frustrating. Like it would be too hard to make enough variations of the escape objective.

Personally I think we understand differently what comes to be “realistic” … I agree that not much I make hits slave … but if prisoner, or stolen and you leave your valuables lying somewhere forest (is just an example) but I think in the case of the bandits there is no correct answer to your comportaminto, so in this case would have endless possibilities warhourse (do not want to give more work to the developers)

I I for example, if a game really needs to be “truly realistic to 100%” would do if you kill, you should re-start again, (IF THAT IS A REALISTIC GAME) I do not think that the case of in this game.

OOh! That’s a good idea, not for all the battles, but in some fight… why not?

I’m sorry, but can you please try to rephrase that? I’ve tried repeatedly, but I really can’t understand what you’re trying to convey in that post. It just seems to be a very inconsistent “stream of consciousness” in a language foreign to you.

I’m sorry, I said before that I’m not English speaker, I am Spanish and my English is very simple. what comment did not you understand?

I think it would be nice to become a prisoner of some group, and that they lock you up in a cage and you have one lockpick or some form of tool that can help you out, and eventually you would starve to death. Sounds nice doesn’t it

Yeah, I realise you’re not an English speaker, there’s no need to apologise for that, I’m not a native English speaker either. I’m certainly not trying to pick on you, I was just unable to understand the post.

It’s difficult to point at what exactly is the problem since most of the post isn’t clear to me. (I’m talking about the one I replied to directly, which starts with "Personally I think we understand differently what comes to be “realistic”). I get that sentence, but the next I don’t understand at all (hits slave?). Also what’s “comportaminto”? I think I’m just missing a few key bits that prevent me from getting the rest based on context.
