Where is the fighting?

Hi guys,

I have played about 40 hours of this game and I am up to the part where I must speak with Ulrich in Sasau about the documents he brought.

This game has one of the best fighting mechanics I have seen, but I have so far only had one boss fight in 40 hours, and the fighting is mainly due to my impatience and picking fights with guards. Most of the game is solving riddles and puzzles and trolling through hours of dialogue about matters that almost seem deliberately contrived to make a deep narrative for the sake of a deep narrative. I have also done a number or side quests.

Am I just being critical or is this the sentiment of others too…or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you, Simon

There’s a topic here which contains the map with all the bandit camps. You can ride your horse like the bohemian punisher and kill all of them and sell their loot. Mostly camps respawn within 1 game day =D

I believe it’s a matter of personal preference. I probably had 150 hours of fun in by the time I had to talk to Ulrich. Went well over 250 until i completed the main quest.
For me, the game wasn’t about the combat (but I still enjoyed bandit-killing), it was more about exploration and enjoying the beauty of the world, and the interactions in the towns.

You fight bandits for robard.
Or search for camps.
Just travel long stretches of road and you ll encounter bandits at hold ups or traders who are being attacked or guards vs bandits/cumans.

ditto :+1:
