Which vendor would benefit Warhorse and Vavre's team

I have decided to buy the PC version of the game. Now I must choose a vendor.

Money is not a concern per se, but I am wondering which vendor would most benefit the developers and Vavre’s team. I understand the business side of “playing ball” with unsavory people, so what do you speculate is Warhorse’s favored vendor. This is simply curiosity, and educated speculation is welcome; Would they get the largest share of my purchase if I bought the game through GoG.com? Is their corporate culture (however “small” locally) more attuned to Greenmangaming? Is Humble Games and Gamespot culturally hostile, in which the relationship is an uneasy business decision? Please don’t say “Steam”, because I’m not buying from them no matter how good their developer support is (I might as well write a check to the people trying to inject “people of color” into KCD as buy from Steam).

I only recently researched the history (political and financial) behind Warhorse’s project, so I am genuinely curious as to which vendor they would prefer, according to community speculation (their team can’t outwardly bad-mouth their business associates, of course).

Finally, congratulations to Warhorse and Vavre on their successful Launch.

Most of the resellers you listed would give the Steam version.
I think the only alternative is gog.
Wish I had purchased gog version. One day I will.

In the meantime Steam gets it.
Steam with its forced autoupdating and a front end designed to net valve/steam more profits.
Whilst I have been a big detractor of Steam since it came out- over the years they have, on occaision, shown their platform is solid.
I personally cant stand it. Though I am a big fan of acknowledging end users data costs. The internet isnt free -no matter how much mircosoft/steam seem to assume it is…

Steam silly pollicies and method of maintaining their front end isnt of any consideration for the end user.
They like to punish users attempting to use Steam offline. Whilst Steam CAN be used offline… a windows glitch can leave a user without an entire games collection until Steam can magically handshake with itself again. At which point it will update its front end/upload usage stats/download ads and then force update all your games.

GOG just works. Without stupid DRM getting in the way too.
As for what helps the vendor; not being a trophy completionist who games on a title for ten weeks after the game launches.

Most of KCDs intended uaerbase will enjoy the game for many years - and wont be too worried about a percentage of the playerbase being inconvenienced for less than eight weeks after game launch…

Game is awesome. (Apparently makes me a fanatic for saying so- even though I only choose to do so on the official forums)

Gog it is then.

Purchased, had it DL’d and unpackaged throughout the night using their client. The best part thus far is unmistakably the writing. The weakest point ofc is the bugs, but that was to be expected.

The gog interface also has a section for some presumably-independent mods. Does anyone have any recommendations in that area? I’m not interested in making the game easier, such as the brighter feathers on the arrows or the unlimited saves. But I am interested in mods that fix some of the bugs.

Also, do any modders have particular input and feedback from Warhorse’s team? Do they have a system to work with modders as a sort of tertiary development team? (there are pros and cons ofc)
