When WH didnt release the game at first I was mad at them for postponing the release. Now that the release is in a week and 2 days away time goes slowly… Who am I to blame ? The society ? God ? Time itself ?
Or did Dan Vavra just freeze time to make the hype greater ?

I try not to get hyped anymore, i been let down too many times expecting games to be more than what they turned out to be.
Usually when a game is based on hype only, it tends to be pretty shit. If i was you, i would not think about the release date, and treat it as if its never been announced.

I agree, I’ve been let down before by hype. But they are not like other companies, such as Ubisoft and EA. This is their first game and they have been keeping us up to date for a long time now and are honest about it. Unlike the shady companies I’ve mentioned.

Plus the community has been an important aspect in the development, all of us were, at least 1% involved
I backed the game back in 2014. Im sure waiting for another 12 or so days will be fine. The bigger problem is, if i will find time to play it with silly valentines day coming and such.
Last 10% is always the hardest !

Yeah, i wouldn’t put Dan vavra with the rest of the corporates like Ubishit and Ea. Having played both Mafias (we all know theres only 2) i enjoyed them both immensely. But what happens is, theres a lot of things that dont make it in the game even when the devs want to, just like how Horse combat isnt what Dan imagined it to be. All Im saying is that a lot of people get hyped on trailers or things that possibly wont make it in the game and then give the game bad review.
Im hyped for the ambient at least, cant wait to see the medieval frescos in the abbey… I mean come on people !

I can recall that dan didnt think that swordfighing form horseback would be doable but they did it
now both is included archery and sword
If you go to no.16 podcast Blood, sweat and tears. He expresses that the horse combat isn’t what he imagined would turn out. That was back in December 2016. So who knows how that changed.
A lot of things sometimes don’t make it into the final game. That goes for almost every game ever made. But at least they told us, instead of keeping it a secret. Also, most of us are wise enough not be fooled by a cinematic trailer; I used to fall for those as a kid. Gameplay trailers are a bit better, even if they glorify it and make it seem like an amazing thing, when sadly it isn’t. Warhorse has done a good job with the trailers.
When warhorse announced that they were postponing the release initially, I blamed myself, I asked myself what have I done to deserve this. But now it’s only a few more days and frankly it’s going to be the longest days of my life😂
