Why can't we sell captured horses

after taking down a bandit camp the leaders horse is just standing there doing nothing and must be left be hind.

why can’t we take it and sell it to one of the horse farms?
we loot the bodies and chests but leave a one thousand Groshen item behind.

I know, I wondered the same. The first time I ever took out a bandit camp, I rode the horse to a stable to see what would happen, and was bummed I could do nothing with it. If you spook the horse, it just goes right back to the camp too lol.

a little bit OffTopic,
but is it possible to repair all parts from the horse armor/equipment?
I was only able to reapir the horseshoe

Nope, caparison and shoes only. Saddle and bridle they still haven’t fixed. It makes mounted combat very expensive, as you have to just buy a new saddle and bridle every time they get too damaged. I did a bug report on it just days after launch. I got a response saying they were aware of the issue, but nothing more.

you can though  - just go to the coppler

I haven’t been able to get any saddle or bridle repaired, by anyone, even the cobbler, and yes I have them in my inventory. I have been carrying around a damaged saddle since before 1.3. Even after 1.4.1, I still can’t get it repaired. I just stopped trying to do mounted battle, so I would never have to repair them lol. Cobbler only fixes shoes for me, nothing else shows in the panel.

On a side note, it makes no sense for them to have the cobbler repair tack lol. The blacksmith or stable masters would make more sense than the cobbler lol

You can currently only sell them in a form od horse meat.

I get that, but both me and my homie went to the cobbler to get the saddle fixed

It is suppose to work, true, but is bugged, and has been since launch. For some, the cobbler just doesn’t list it.
I can repair tack myself, if not too damaged, but my starter saddle got knocked to 0 after just 2 hits from a couple weak roadside bandits. I went to the cobbler in Rattay, and this is what happens.

I can see it in my repair UI when I hit apply with a cobbler kit.

I can even sell it to the cobbler.

When I ask him to repair though . . .

I reported this bug early on, and got a reply saying it was known. It seems some have no issues, some do, like most of the current bugs. I have a friend who cannot repair either.

Guess i’m one of the lucky ones then
I honestly can’t believe they released this game with so many game breaking bugs

I am patient with them. With them being a new company, and this being their first release, I expected months of patches after release.
This game is ground breaking, in so many ways. They rewrote huge parts of the engine to make it work for the game. Getting it perfect on consoles is one thing, they are all the same, but to get a game like this to work perfect on PC, where no two are alike, and let’s face it, Windows is not a perfect program either. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be for them.

At least they seem to be working on it, and promise to fix it. Until they fail to follow through, I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and be patient. It is a great game, it’s worth waiting for them to fix.

Seriously who in the area would buy a horse that was probably stolen in the first place?

This isn’t your typical fantasy MMO grindfest.

a butcher?

No branding …no evidence and the Devs could say so…

for me repairing by cobbler works. i am on 1.4.1

take it off the horse to fix?

yep.
horseshoes too - blacksmith.

strangely my stolen noble 4 bag saddle and cavalry bridle hasn’t shown any wear.
I repaired the shoes with a BS kit and the chain barding caparison( modded) with a tailor kit.
