Back playing again after launch, and back then it really bothered me that almost always when it was raining, you couldnt see a single cloud in the sky and the sun was shining. Now I’m on my second playthrough after all the praise 1.5 got, only to come back to the same problem. I know this might not be a simple problem to correct as it might be engine related, however, it’s not gamebreaking or anything of the sort, but it really brings you out of the immersion, nevertheless, is there any diagnos on this yet?
I had rain inside a cave, else it does not rain inside.
Yes; a recent rain issue has rolled over to next patch as it was more difficult to sort than expected.
Has been commented on in forums and consensus is 1.6 (it IS being worked upon).
I too am wondering if present build has returned to sun showering…
I can replicate a ‘slow down’ on botton 7th of screen when rendering two directions of extreme rain (the effect that leads to ‘missile command’ graphic captures.
The effect isnt one rain drop but several combined and the game is obviously having issues passing the layers together.
The ‘slow down’ on my system takes regular 50frames per second gameplay and has an obvious update flicker (bottom 7th of screen) that looks like I have gone under v-sync or screen sync (eg less that 30hz).
If se rain work is being done I will wait for 1.6; or else I shall report in… (so far I have never had to post any issues, and have trusted/relied on efforts of others to do so).
In fact I probably should report the funky sound effect that a couple of bridges now give when clomping across them with my horse which the 1.5 patch has given. It could be a corrupted sound bank; so I suppose I should wait for 1.6 and do a fresh FULL game download (keeps all files neat/together and no doubt offers better load performance etc).
