Will clothing tear like armor gets dented?

the title
and will swords break in the off chance that you parry something like a mace (stupidly)
will the armor and weapons look different according to the price? (like gems in one and rust on another)
will there be rust and stuff on the weapons and armor (maintenance on your tools)

also in a previous post i was asking if weapon and armor would have reequipping times like putting on armor
this question has already been answerd
but now my question is will i have a misericorde or something that i can have a third spot to equip
this would be really useful if i wanted to force someone to pay a ransom and i didn;t have the time to reequip a shorter weapon
i have not clue what i just said i just put down a bunch of ideas in my head

Yes break able weapons and armor have been confirmed by the developers. Your clothing will also deteriorate and get blood and dirt on, you will have to wash your shirt, along with maintain your weapons and armor.

Not quite sure about your other questions though. I would assume better quality weapons and armor would be more expensive, it’s just kinda logical.

im thinking it shouldnt just cost more but things should look better as they get more expensive

Ex the sword we have in the game currently-bastard sword
a regular person would have a simple sword with a guard and leather or linen wrapping for the handle and his armor would be simple plate and leather straps of something
a lord on the other hand might have gems on his pommel or gold on his armor, maybe a crest or something on his gear

Not sure what you mean by this, your statement seems a bit contradictory.

I’m by no means an expert, but I’m almost positive gold armor is pure fantasy. Gold is a very soft metal, and would make terrible armor not to mention it is very heavy and its not flexible like steel is.

Well a regular person should really have pole arms, but we’re not sure if those are going to make it into the game.

I meant that item quality should affect how good it looks
compare windlass swords to albion swords
they look almost the same but albion swords are definitely better looking

I didn’t mean gold armor but i meant having some gold to make a crest or something on the armor
so you have steel armor with a bit of gold making say a dragon on the chest or something of the sort
well as a sidearm most people did have swords by that time
(scholagladiatoria’s video of medieval sword values)
usually and arming sword and a shield or something

I think better quality weapons and armor will look different. But i think that swords with gems were quite rare and probably weren’t ment for battle. And blacksmith’s son wouldn’t be allowed to wear something like gilded armor.

Are you sure there were actual laws/rules like that, or are you just saying it wouldn’t happen based on price?

He could find it on the battlefieeld, but he probably wouldn’t be allowed to keep it.
I don’t know if there was acatual law but it would be socially unacceptable.

But i don’t how it will by in the game after all it’s not 100% realistic.
