Will funding continue?

Now that the Kickstarter campaign is over, will KC’s funding still continue on the website, like Star Citizen? If not, I think it’d be a good idea to do so, being that Star Citizen got a ton of money after the Kickstarter was over.

It will, they will open paypal supported store soon.

This has been established as happening, yes.

YES!

That’s what they wrote on the Reddit AMA:

[quote]We will continue raising money after KS on our webpage. There will be several options for payments like PayPal or Amazon Payments. I am not sure about other options now.

That’s great news. I really hope they will stretchgoal to better voice acting.
Voice acting and immersion means so much, especially for the more serious RPG’s and Adventure games.

From the kickstarter update:

We will also continue to raise money on our own webpage, where you will be able to get most of the same, terrific rewards and early access to the game, if for whatever reason you didn’t or couldn’t pledge in the past month. Our shop will accept PayPal and Amazon Payments, as many of you asked. We will continue to add new stretch goals as we can.

I Think it is great. But at some point they should raise the price of the game a bit. No reason to sell the game for 15£ when it is now sure that it will be made.

Great great news! Hope its gonna hit the 1.2!

Yes, its great that stretch goals will continue, but I think they should raise the price of the game little bit. Not much, just little bit, it would be fair, for people who backed on KS.

The game is only so cheap right now as an extra boon to backers. The same happened with Star Citizen I believe. Some of the ships were cheaper and all ships they bought had insurance for the vessel. The game price will go back up surely.

Remember that 15 pounds paid today are more than 15 pounds paid in 2 years (and not just because of inflation  ).

The price on SC is not that much higher now than during the original backing.
30$ for the game including alpha/beta access.
Now 30$ with no alpha/beta and 40$ with it.
(offcause the LTI is hard to factor in the price)

And I still think the base price should be higher… as long as it is still lower than a typical AAA game.
More money = better game.
Or maybe just a happy investor… but even that is a good thing, since that makes it more likely that we get act two and 3 made…

So 20-25£ would be fine… still lower than a AAA game that is new.

I didn’t intend to mean that SC is suddenly running the game at full price because they aren’t. I was just trying to show that another kickstarter game has met with success and post kickstarter have raised the prices (albeit minimally) and also revoked backer privileges like LTI (as expected). I would expect something similar to occur with Kingdom Come, especially now that both teams are sharing information. Both will feature the game, beta and alpha levels of offerings (if you consider hanger/dogfight to be alpha) and both offer a physical merch store.

But you are correct, I do hope they remain lower than a AAA title to attract more people into the game. It would show the popularity and now with the PS4/XB1 announcement, even more people have been introduced to the market.

I hope prices will stay the same for a few weeks! I followed the game since the first teaser trailer but i can’t back due to the lack of a cc.
Personally i would feel punished if i would have to pay more just because of that.

I guess the prices (and almost al tiers) will stay the same on the website at least for a while, maybe til alpha starts.
