gpu is a msi armor OC 480 rx 4 gig
8 gigs of ram

plan to upgrade in late march will this get me through the next 2 months you think on lower settings? i play witcher 3 just fine which has the same minimum secs and i can run that. so in theory i should be able too, thoughts?

open msi afterburner and run the game. If GPU is sitting at 99% usage you are ok.

many thanks will do

You’ll run 20-30FPS on ultra at 1080p.

the only difference is between newer and older gen cpus is they have newer technologies therefore itself can provide higher Average FPS compared to older ones. However newer CPU doesn’t have significant impact on lower frame rates, 30-60 to be precise. At higher, 100-200 they do, newer cpu maintain easier. Yet both CPUs older and newer gen will utilise 100% of GPU if they have sufficient GHZ and core amount
I can tell this from my personal expierence.

thank you i was just making sure cause it was below minimum specs for the cpu

Your CPU is not below minimum requirements. It’s 29% worse than recommended and 39% better than minimum.

honestly i just seen the 2500k had higher ghz and figured mine was worse lol

I used to compare my PC like that as well, but it does not mean so much. Use this if you want to figure out: userbenchmark.com
