I get terrible pop in textures on PC, but it usually rights itself in 30 seconds. Not good though. I’m more concerned about low FPS but that has improved recently.
No I’m definitely not fanboying this game. I am well aware of the issues. I just haven’t had any graphical issues myself. I will see about sharing some video with you when I get a chance. i know this game has tons of issues. I have not had the graphical issues and since not everyone does, it gives me hope that they can fix it. To be completely honest, the issues that you are having are more what I expect out of this game. Warhorse doesn’t have a huge team and a low budget. I have been amazed that the game looks as good as it does for me.
I recently approached Rattay, and I thought Sigismund had arrived and destroyed the city gates, until slowly the walls popped back into place. lol. That was the most extreme case I’ve seen. Normally it’s just detail on people’s faces or the texture of houses take a moment to register when I fast travel.
These are not special all-the-stars-are-aligned or once-in-a-blue-moon behaviours. So why didn’t this get caught in stress testing?
It’s quite cool actually. It’s almost like the game treats you like the Holy Roman Emperor has just arrived unexpectantly in town. “Quickly lads, put your best clothes on immediately! Give those houses another daub of paint. FIX THE WALLS!! Quickly! Hurry!!” ROFL
They must have known this but instead of delaying the release of the console version for another couple of months (months that you have to pay your employees without getting any revenue back in) they released it anyway taking our money for this broken game and promising to fix it in a couple of months. LOL this is probably how it all went down, wouldn’t surprise me…
Honestly, everyone has these issues. Every PS4 is exactly the same as any other. I also have seen the game running on several PS4 systems and all show the same behaviour in regards to textures. Due to system parity this is pretty much a deterministic issue. But this can differ very much on the location and route you are traveling. Several times I have textures not loading just to have them load when I approach something from a different direction. Also it could very well be less visible because of the size of the tv in combination with the view distance one uses.
I don’t understand this kind of speech, what is “high standards” then?
The game itself is gorgeous, and I have tons of videos and in game pictures to support it (here are a few : Despite everything beng said around here, KCD is a really beautiful game).
I’ve been gaming on PC for 10 years before switching to consoles recently.
I used to run all my games on ultra, and I never expected someone would tell me I have “low standards” lol.
Everyone is aware that the game needs some optimization and fixing, but behaving like a child isn’t going to make things go faster.
If you are not patient enough you should get a refund and move on.
Don’t worry, sales wise they are doing amazingly well, they don’t need another whiner who thinks he is entitled to everything because he bought the game.
It’s their first fucking AAA title and they have their hands full right now trying to fix it. I’m not saying this should be an excuse for everything that is happening, but have you taken part in game development in your life?
I can tell you, some time you will not eat, not sleep, just to get the work done, and that for weeks.
And then you have idiots showing up asking for everything to happen right now… sure!
Why don’t you put your money where your mouth is and buy a $1000 PC to play this game with your “high standards” then? Funny thing is, you won’t be any better … game is bugged on every platform.
Sometimes I can’t believe how childish the gaming community can be. Just a bunch of men childs whining …
Well first of all i have a gaming pc that could run this game easily. But i prefer console gaming.
It is the fault of the developers to release a game in this state that where i as a paying customer can not enjoy the game because of how broken it is. A refund is impossible to get for me unfortunately because i bought the game from a store and they won’t take the game back once the package is opened. So i have every right to complain about this product. And your screenshots and videos that you use to defend this game don’t show the cities, do a video there and then we talk. But you are just another fanboy making excuses for the devs.
To me (on ps4) that’s a cache problem, this kind of stuff happens after a while playing. When it occurs, a save, close/restart and good to go for a few hours again.

Then go complain to your store, no one is responsible except the vendor for their bad policies.

Constructive criticism is always welcome, but people showing up on their high horse pretending they are entitled to everything gets on my nerves.
But you are just another fanboy making excuses for the devs.
Uhuh … sure.
If anything i’ve put my game on hold because of the constant crashing that makes the game almost unplayable, but guess what … I have other games to play in the meantime and I know devs are working hard to fix it.
Showing up here throwing a tantrum isn’t going to make patches magically appear.
How far have you advanced into the story? Im also running the game on PS4 Pro in Beast mode, And I never had Rendering pop in problems or loading screen before talking to Traders etc… But the further I have progressed into the story… Im now starting to see them sadly.
I have gotten pretty far into the story I feel like. I have made it to the Questions and Answers quest after raiding the bandit’s camp. Sure this game has some minor graphical issues from time to time but when comparing it to other games like it, (e.g. Skyrim or Fallout 4) the game is gorgeous and better graphically than those games. Considering how small Warhorse’s team is, that’s a monumental achievement.
I feel you, But textures will literally take minutes to load, and while trying to talk to a trader, takes around 15-20 secs to talk to.
will be fixed once the i10 500000k comes out, with 1 terabyte ram, and gtx 60000 with 500gb vram
Before long a petaflop
I have some horrendous pop ins on the X as well… hoping for fixes soon…
I started a second play through on the new PS4 patch. (1.2.5) Now there is crazy pop in and object load delays at certain times. I couldn’t believe it. I was not having that problem before. There was a part that made me kind of sick. I running across the bridge into Rattay and the last segment of the bridge failed to load. All of sudden I was standing on nothing and I thought I would fall to my death. Kind of gave me vertigo. It’s pretty bad when a game does that. Then the bridge itself popped in under my feet. Great game to get me that immersed but very jarring when all of a sudden you aren’t standing on anything and your last save was 4.5 hours ago.
I have exactly this problem, too. It completely stopped me from playing the game for the past 2 weeks, even though I was enjoying it so much…
But the important thing to mention is that v.1.1 was totally fine for me. For some reason everything went to shit immediately after v.1.2 was installed. So it’s not like that’s just the way the game has to be.
I have really bad texture loading too quite often but it doesn’t stop me from playing. I do hope they can fix it among the other things that need fixing. I also noticed it being quite bad after a fast travel. It does it no matter what but after a fast travel it was especially bad with half of Rattay taking forever to load textures especially on buildings.
